After awkwardly avoiding questions about his Fantasy Suite evening with Theresa, Gerry told his daughters he really likes \u201cbeing around\u201d Nist.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Leslie noted a change in Turner\u2019s \u201cmannerisms\u201d when they met up, an observation that proved to be prescient.<\/p>\n

Leslie was upset. She was bitter. But she was also glad to be dumped before fitting herself into a fancy dress and getting her hopes up for a proposal.<\/p>\n
\u201cI took a really good person and f-cking broke their heart,\u201d Gerry said to host Jesse Palmer. <\/p>\n
\u201cI hate myself and I hate everything right now. I think the only time I\u2019ve ever felt worse in my whole life is when my wife passed away and this is a Goddamn close second. \u201cWhen I looked towards the volcano, I was asking Toni if this was the right thing to do,\u201d he said on air. \u201cI\u2019m saying a prayer, and my prayers go to her.\u201d<\/p>\n
Once he met up with Theresa, Turner laid it all out for her.<\/p>\n
\u201cI came to the realization that you\u2019re not the right person for me to live with,\u201d he told Nist. \u201cYou\u2019re the person that I can\u2019t live without<\/em>. I love you 1,000%.\u201d<\/p>\nGerry Turner and Theresa Nist are engaged! Back in the studio, Palmer surprised the couple with a trip to Italy, as Gerry suggested they could use it as a honeymoon after he and Theresa exchanged vows, which they wanted to do as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to do it as quickly as we can because at our age, we don\u2019t have a lot of time to waste,\u201d Gerry said.<\/p>\n
This led to the final announcement of the night:<\/p>\n
\u201cGerry and Theresa are getting married and guess what, we\u2019re invited to the wedding because it will be live on ABC January 4.\u201d<\/p>\n
