Omid Scobie has insisted he “never submitted a book” that named the so-called “royal racists”.<\/p>\n

Omid Scobie is ‘frustrated’ by the racism row surrounding his book<\/p>\n

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, previously claimed unnamed relatives of her husband Prince Harry<\/a> had expressed “concerns” about the skin colour of their son Prince Archie, now four, when she was pregnant, and a Dutch translation of the author’s new book ‘Endgame’ had to be pulled from shelves earlier this week when it seemingly named the previously-undisclosed two people involved in the conversations.<\/p>\n

However, Omid admitted he is “frustrated” by what has happened and insisted he isn’t responsible for the names of the alleged culprits – who were identified in the UK by Piers Morgan<\/a> on his TalkTV show on Wednesday (29.11.23) – being leaked.<\/p>\n

Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (30.11.23), he said: “I had never submitted a book that had their names in it, so I can only talk about my version.<\/p>\n

” I’m obviously frustrated, I wouldn’t say I’m upset about it because obviously I’d been working in a bubble of no emotion for the last 10 days’. ” <\/p>\n

\nThe author also insisted he had never used the word “racist” to describe the royals who allegedly questioned the baby’s skin colour but had described the incident as “unconscious bias” in his book.<\/p>\n

\nOmid also dismissed suggestions he is “Meghan’s mouthpiece”.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “I’m not their friend. I have never sat down with Meghan privately for interviews, I have never exchanged information with Meghan, I’m not in their private world.”<\/p>\n

\nAnd the journalist bemonaned the fact his book has been unfairly criticised.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “I knew this book would be controversial, whether it’s about race or the Palace’s relationship with the press. I never expected it to be presented fairly.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
