The reality star, 44, was previously in an on-off relationship with her ex, Scott Disick, 40, for nearly 10 years, before getting together with her musician husband Travis Barker<\/a>, 48, and opened up about her past \u201cwounds\u201d while waxing lyrical about therapy to her clan on the latest episode of \u2018The Kardashians\u2019.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI didn\u2019t start a self-awareness journey knowing what I was doing. I started therapy through a toxic relationship and then learned so much about myself, about my family, about why I do certain things, about our childhood wounds, about how they show up in intimate relationships \u2013 generational trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kourtney has three children with Scott \u2013 Mason, Penelope and Reign \u2013 and recently gave birth to her first child with husband Travis, son Rocky. <\/p>\n

Despite her support for therapy, her sister Khlo\u00e9, 39, told her sister counselling isn\u2019t always the answer in life.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: \u201cNo offence or anything, but we all have problems \u2013 just buckle up and let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nBut Kourtney insisted: \u201cThere\u2019s certain patterns to break. You don\u2019t want to pass things down to your kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nKhlo\u00e9 then asked if Kourtney felt choosing \u201cbad partners\u201d was a genetic trait.<\/p>\n

\nKourtney replied: \u201cI think it\u2019s generational. It\u2019s from MJ (their mum Kris Jenner\u2019s mother.)<\/p>\n

\n\u201cShe was married three times\u2026 we all have picked people we thought we could change different things about them and we can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nMum-of-six Kris, 68, replied: \u201cI\u2019m not even thinking about that. In a billion years I\u2019ve got a full, fabulous life, why am I going back to reimagine?\u201d<\/p>\n

\nKhlo\u00e9 also joked in a confessional interview: \u201cGod bless Kourtney, because she\u2019s definitely trying to have this therapy talk, and God bless my mom because she’s definitely not.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nKourtney added later in the episode: \u201cI know that people in my family would benefit from therapy.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cBut I\u2019m letting go of trying to change other people and just accepting everyone for who they are. This is me. This is my journey. That\u2019s you and that’s your journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
