However, recently <a href=\"https:\/\/workspaceupdates.googleblog.com\/2023\/11\/updates-to-google-drive-scanner-on-android-and-ios.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google has upgraded that feature<\/a> for Android users, adding automatic captures, among other upgrades, and is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/11\/29\/23980739\/google-drive-document-scanner-ios-android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rolling out the feature for iOS users<\/a>. <\/p>\n<div class=\"c-float-left c-float-hang\">\n<aside id=\"Gq3xpF\">\n<div data-anthem-component=\"readmore\" data-anthem-component-data=\"{\"stories\":[{\"title\":\"Google beefs up Drive\u2019s document scanning feature and brings it to iPhone  \",\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/11\/29\/23980739\/google-drive-document-scanner-ios-android\"}]}\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"7Gt2Ua\">As soon as it is available on my iPhone, I will add directions for the iOS version. Meanwhile, here\u2019s how you can scan to a PDF using Google Drive. This example was done on a Google Pixel 6 running Android 14.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"2sSbCs\">In your Google Drive app, tap the <strong>+ New<\/strong> button and select <strong>Scan<\/strong>. You can also just tap the camera button just above it.<\/li>\n<li id=\"YKPVUL\">Hover your phone above the document you want to scan.
