Lifetime is turning up the heat with Jana Kramer<\/strong><\/a> this holiday season! The One Tree Hill<\/em> alum is set to star in the network\u2019s A Cowboy Christmas Romance<\/em> movie, and she revealed that it\u2019s Lifetime\u2019s first Christmas<\/a> film to feature sex scenes.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I read it, I was like, \u2018Well, this is gonna be interesting,\u2019\u201d Jana, 39, said of the film\u2019s script on the Monday, November 27, episode of her \u201cWhine Down\u201d podcast<\/a>. The country singer was pregnant with her and fianc\u00e9 Allan Russell<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s son at the time of filming, so she admitted to feeling a little confused about pulling off the scene.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018How are we gonna do this with the baby belly?\u2019\u201d Jana added.<\/p>\n In A Cowboy Christmas Romance<\/em>, which premieres on Lifetime on December 9, Jana plays a real estate agent named Lexie who comes home to her small Arizona town to close on a ranch owned by a stubborn local named Coby Mason (Adam Senn<\/strong>). During her trip, Lexie must face her former family drama as she unexpectedly falls for Coby.<\/p>\n Describing a particularly steamy scene, Jana said, \u201cWe\u2019re on this \u2014 spoiler alert \u2014 he lays me down on some hay, and then we, you know \u2026 And then, you know, obviously, it\u2019s still Lifetime, it\u2019s still family. But it was pushing limits there, too.\u201d<\/p>\n A Cowboy Christmas Romance<\/em> writer Sarah Drew<\/strong> revealed on the podcast that the sex scenes were important to her.<\/p>\n \u201cIt all came out so beautifully, but especially the scene in the kitchen. I had written into the stage directions, \u2018He pulls her up onto the counter, he shoves things off the table,\u2019\u201d the Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> star, 43, said. \u201cI put it all in there, so I was like, \u2018Don\u2019t take the steam and the sex away from me. I wrote it on purpose, I want it in there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Despite pushing limits, Jana added that Lifetime \u201cdidn\u2019t cut anything\u201d from the scene. She said she was \u201cso happy that they really left it all in there.\u201d The scene also gave an opportunity for Jana to joke about her real-life pregnancy, as she recalled telling Adam, 39, \u201cI was like, \u2018We made a baby!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Jana, who also shares daughter Jolie and son Jace with ex-husband Mike Caussin<\/strong><\/a>, announced her third pregnancy in June 2023. Unfortunately, the pregnancy wasn\u2019t easy, as the actress was hospitalized in October due to a bacterial infection that entered her kidneys.<\/p>\n \u201cThis resulted in a 2-day stay in hospital and antibiotics because I let it get passed where I should have,\u201d she wrote on Instagram at the time, noting that her baby was \u201cgood\u201d after the hospitalization.<\/p>\n \u201cLesson number one\u2026don\u2019t just brush off pain, because it can be more serious than u think,\u201d she warned others.<\/p>\n Though the experience was frightening, Jana and Allan, 42, welcomed a healthy baby boy named Roman one month later on November 13.<\/p>\n \u201cAllan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son,\u201d Jana told People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe feel blessed to have been given the chance to create something so special together.\u201d<\/p>\n
