\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Emma Stone<\/strong><\/a> is on the cover of W Magazine<\/a><\/em>\u2018s new issue and her photo spread was shot by Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong><\/a>, the director of her new movie Poor Things<\/em>!<\/p>\n The Oscar-winning actress is on the cover of the Art Issue, in which they discuss inspiration in the art they\u2019ve made together and the experience of their creative partnership across different mediums. <\/p>\n Head inside to find out what she shared with the mag\u2026 <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Here\u2019s what she shared with the mag:<\/p>\n On her modeling partner for the shoot, which she said in mock outrage<\/strong>: \u201cWho said she was a doll?! Her name is a secret because she\u2019s very shy and this is her first role. We found her\u2026. She was perfect!\u201d<\/p>\n On previously saying she wishes all her films were silent<\/strong>: \u201cI was half-kidding. But I do love the silence. It\u2019s a nice thing to not have any pressure to use words to communicate. There\u2019s something wonderful in being able to speak with just your eyes and your body.\u201d<\/p>\n On dodging cars during the shoot<\/strong>: \u201cHave you seen the things I\u2019ve done in films? In comparison, running across a highway is not scary.\u201d<\/p>\n On Yorgos Lanthimos teaching her photography<\/strong>: \u201cA few years ago, Yorgos became interested in film photography. He began developing his own prints, and he taught me. We started in a makeshift darkroom in his bathroom, but over the past few years, he\u2019s built a professional darkroom in his studio in Athens. He pretty much learned how to develop film by watching YouTube videos.\u201d<\/p>\n On her creative partnership with Yorgos<\/strong>: \u201cWe reviewed the contact sheets together. We tend to agree on which photos we like and dislike. In general, we agree on most everything.\u201d Lanthimos interrupted: \u201cWe sometimes disagree about small details. That\u2019s our pattern.\u201d Stone continued: \u201cBut we don\u2019t fight. We have a way of working things out. And we learn from each other.
