JoJo Siwa<\/strong><\/a> may be competing on Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test<\/em><\/a>, but the reality show took her back to her first days as a dancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think something that\u2019s interesting is everything in my past I\u2019ve had to be in charge of,\u201d Siwa, 20, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cI go on tour and I\u2019m in charge of the 60 crew members that are there and I\u2019ve got to be the boss. But here, it was weird because I was the furthest thing from in charge.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cAll of us were the furthest thing from in charge, and so kind having to sit back and work hard and just be told what to do, I mean, I kind of liked it. I don\u2019t know. I think it\u2019s the dancer in me that just felt like I was back to my roots of just sit there, shut up and do what you\u2019re told.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siwa first came into the public eye at 9 years old when she competed on the Dance Moms<\/em> spinoff Abby\u2019s Ultimate Dance Competition<\/em> in 2013. Siwa has since gone on to launch a YouTube channel, released multiple songs and a movie as well as embarked on a tour. She has also been a contestant on The Masked Singer<\/em> and Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, where she formed the first all-female partnership with pro Jenna Johnson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOne lesson the stars of Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test have learned is that rough living conditions can be just as tough to handle as the challenges. Celebrities are pushed to their physical and mental limits by undergoing military training on the Fox competition series. The show\u2019s first two seasons placed its casts in two [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, Siwa is part of a group of celebrities being led by ex-special forces operatives who hope to pass a grueling selection process mirroring real life. Completing the training exercises in Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test<\/em> wasn\u2019t her only goal during her time in New Zealand \u2013 the YouTube star shared she also aspired to be a cheerleader for her fellow contestants.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think one of my very big priorities while I was there was keeping everyone else\u2019s vibe up and happy,\u201d Siwa reflected. \u201cAnd I think that\u2019s just been something that I\u2019ve done my whole life.\u201d<\/p>\n

While competing on season 2 of the Fox reality show, which premiered in September, Siwa made strong friendships with fellow contestants, including Bachelor Nation\u2019s Tyler Cameron<\/strong> and Nick Viall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember Nick and I had a moment where it was just him and I in the accommodations, our bedroom, and that\u2019s when I was like, \u2018This man now feels like family,\u201d Siwa recalled. \u201cAnd then I feel like on day six is when you kind of became family. When we were at the helicopter submersion towards the beginning though, I mean it was just kind of like a free-for-all. Everybody felt pretty close, but definitely towards the end.\u201d<\/p>\n
