Jana Kramer<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s new holiday flick is making history for steamy reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the first [Lifetime] Christmas movie that has a sex scene,\u201d Kramer, 39, revealed on the Monday, November 27, episode of her \u201cWhine Down\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cWhen I read it, I was like, \u2018Well, this is gonna be interesting.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018How are we gonna do this with the baby belly?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

A Cowboy Christmas Romance<\/em> follows Kramer as real estate agent Lexie who returns to her Arizona hometown to reclaim land belonging to rancher Coby Mason (Adam Senn<\/strong>). As the two form a connection, Lexie begins to question her life choices and works to restore her relationships with her father and brother.<\/p>\n

Kramer, who was pregnant<\/a> with her and fianc\u00e9 Allan Russell<\/strong>\u2019s son Roman during filming, continued: \u201cWe\u2019re on this \u2014 spoiler alert \u2014 he lays me down on some hay, and then we, you know \u2026 And then, you know, obviously, it\u2019s still Lifetime, it\u2019s still family. But it was pushing limits there, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEvery year the holidays seem to come a little faster \u2014 and that is partly thanks to all the festive films that begin airing on TV months before the season really starts. Hallmark Media, for example, will kick off its annual \u201cCountdown to Christmas\u201d on Hallmark Channel on Friday, October 20, this year. Hallmark Movies [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The One Tree Hill<\/em><\/a> alum poked fun at both the scene and her pregnancy the next day on set. \u201cI was like, \u2018We made a baby!\u2019\u201d she told costar Senn, 39. (Kramer gave birth to her son<\/a> on November 13.)<\/p>\n

The scene was one writer Sarah Drew<\/strong> was keen on including. \u201cIt all came out so beautifully, but especially the scene in the kitchen. I had written into the stage directions, \u2018He pulls her up onto the counter, he shoves things off the table,\u2019\u201d the former Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em><\/a> star shared on Monday. \u201cI put it all in there, so I was like, \u2018Don\u2019t take the steam and the sex away from me. I wrote it on purpose, I want it in there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Kramer, Lifetime \u201cdidn\u2019t cut anything.\u201d She added: \u201cI was so happy that they really left it all in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the podcast, Kramer noted that she found A Cowboy Christmas Romance<\/em> refreshing from other TV holiday movies she\u2019s done in the past. \u201cI\u2019m reading it and I\u2019m going, \u2018This is nothing like any Christmas [movie].\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018We barely mention the word Christmas. There\u2019s no gingerbread bake-off, there\u2019s no festival, that town that\u2019s going to hell and you gotta save it,\u2019\u201d she explained. \u201cThe only thing was, like, [my character] coming back and seeing Adam [Senn], or his character. But I\u2019m reading it and I\u2019m, like, I\u2019m crying when I read it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drew, 43, created the story with that goal in mind, telling Kramer she wanted the movie to include more than just \u201ccozy feelings.\u201d She stated: \u201cThose cozy feelings happen, but it\u2019s all mixed up with real family stuff and identity stuff and relationship stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2018, Hilarie Burton Morgan enlisted former One Tree Hill costars Danneel Ackles, Robert Buckey, Antwon Tanner, Tyler Hilton and Elizabeth Harnois to join her in 2018\u2019s A Christmas Contract on Lifetime. One year later, the group reunited for the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kramer went on to recall how being pregnant on set led to some funny moments, including a comment from director Jake Helgren<\/strong>. \u201c[He] is so great, but the last week of filming that, he\u2019s like, \u2018Please don\u2019t take this the wrong way,\u2019 he\u2019s like, \u2018But you\u2019re gonna have to suck in just a little bit,\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
