Nine days after Ana Clara Benevides Machado \u200bdied before \u200bTaylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> took to the stage for her Eras tour show in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, her family was invited to watch the concert and meet the \u201cCardigan\u201d singer.<\/p>\n Taylor, 33, invited the Benevides Machado family, including her father, Weiny Machado<\/strong>, to the final stop during the 2023 leg of the tour in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday, November 26, a source told People<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, several of the singer\u2019s fans took to social media<\/span><\/a> to share a photo of Taylor meeting Weiny, 53, and four others before the concert started. The group wore matching T-shirts with Ana\u2019s face printed on it. Later on in the night, the family was captured enjoying the concert from the VIP section at the Allianz Parque arena, according to <\/span>videos shared<\/span><\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n Ana died at the age of 23 before Taylor\u2019s concert<\/a> on November 17 at Estadio Nilton Santos began. While feeling unwell at the venue amid extremely warm temperatures, first responders attended to Ana before being transferred to a nearby hospital to receive more medical attention. She died after arriving at the hospital, event organizer Time for Fun announced via Twitter at the time.<\/p>\n The \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer took to her Instagram Stories to issue a statement after she learned about Ana\u2019s death. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m writing these words, but it\u2019s with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,\u201d Taylor wrote. \u201cI can\u2019t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There\u2019s very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.\u201d<\/p>\n She then stated that she would not be able to talk about Ana during her upcoming concerts<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it,\u201d Taylor added. \u201cI want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
