Love Island U.S.A.<\/em><\/a> star Johnny Middlebrooks<\/strong><\/a> exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> where his relationship stands today with Love Island Germany<\/em> star Aurelia Lamprecht<\/strong> following their second place win on Love Island Games.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe talk to each other as much as we can,\u201d Johnny, 25, exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> in a video interview on Friday, November 24. \u201cWe FaceTime all the time, and I get to talk to her when the episodes come out and see how she feels.\u201d<\/p>\n The Peacock alum detailed a conversation between them not long after leaving the Love Island Games<\/em> villa in Fiji, where they decided to \u201cnot let other people\u2019s opinions\u201d impact how they felt about each other because, at the time, they had only known each other for four days.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want you to think just because we\u2019re not speaking every second of every day, that this isn\u2019t something to nurture,\u201d the Virginia native explains. \u201cBecause there\u2019s no way that I can give you the same amount of energy that I did in this villa when I\u2019m up in your face all day, every day, 24 hours a day. Let\u2019s stay in contact.\u201d<\/p>\n He\u2019s \u201cglad\u201d he had that conversation with Aurelia as they talk to each other \u201cas much as they can.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnny was the first bombshell to walk into the Love Island Games<\/em> villa<\/a>, making his debut during episode 2 alongside Love Island U.K.<\/em> star Megan Barton-Hanson<\/strong><\/a>. The former athlete shook things up in the villa, marking connections with Love Island U.K.<\/em>\u2019s Liberty Poole<\/strong>, Love Island Australia\u2019s<\/em> Jessica Losurdo<\/strong> and Love Island U.S.A.\u2019s<\/em> Courtney Boerner<\/strong> before solidifying his romance with the Germany native.<\/p>\n \u201cWe talked so much and we had such a deep connection in there. And I hate that they don\u2019t show more of her. They just showed us kissing the whole time,\u201d he says of his and Aurelia\u2019s time in the villa. \u201cI just want people from my mouth to know that Aurelia is genuinely such a sweet kindhearted soul. And they didn\u2019t show that. And that sucks because when she calls me and she\u2019s sad about it, I hate that.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnny and Aurelia<\/a> coupled up during episode 15 and ended their Love Island Games<\/em> journey in second place, only falling short behind Justine Ndiba<\/strong> and Jack Fowler<\/strong><\/a> during the November 20 final.<\/p>\n As for their future post-villa, Johnny plans on staying in contact with Aurelia and hopes to reunite in person soon.<\/p>\n \u201cBut as far as us dating or being super romantic right now, it\u2019s almost impossible from different countries,\u201d he concludes. \u201cBut yeah, we\u2019re good.
