The 46-year-old pop singer is dad to Briahna, 22, and Kloey, 13, with his ex-wife Kelly Baldwin and he\u2019s revealed he has always had strict rules on when his girls can start dating but he doesn\u2019t care whether they bring home boyfriends or girlfriends.<\/p>\n
Joey told Us Weekly magazine: \u201c[I told them] \u2018You\u2019re not allowed to date until you\u2019re 18. I don\u2019t care if you want to date a guy, a girl or a lamp. It doesn\u2019t matter to me, you just can\u2019t date\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Joey went on to add he also has strict rules for anyone who wants to date his girls, adding: \u2018\u2019Whatever you do to my daughter, I\u2019m going to do to you\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pop star added that even though he\u2019s been a parent for more than two decades, he\u2019s still leaning how to be a good dad.<\/p>\n
\nHe went on to say: \u201cYou have to figure out what\u2019s going to make them happy, but also what\u2019s going to make you happy \u2026 The path that my kids are on, I\u2019ve been blessed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJoey split from wife Kelly in 2019 and he previously opened up about how they managed to put their kids first despite their divorce.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on the \u2018Frosted Tips\u2019 podcast earlier this year, he explained: \u201cParenting is always a challenge. People always think, you know, you\u2019re a celebrity so when you get divorced or you have the kids, you could do the nannies, you have the money, and you got this and that. Well, it\u2019s irrelevant. I think all of that money and all that \u2026 is really irrelevant \u2026 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd I get my kid pretty much every other week, if I\u2019m not working or on the road \u2026 “<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201c[Kelly has been] doing an absolute great and amazing job \u2026 Just like anything, it\u2019s ups and downs. We\u2019ve been getting together now a lot more often, you know, being able to spend time with our kids together as a group. Sometimes you don\u2019t see eye-to-eye with each other, and that\u2019s normal. That\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
