Jeannie Mai<\/strong><\/a> kicked off the holiday season with daughter Monaco<\/a> after estranged husband Jeezy<\/strong><\/a> filed for divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cMonaco and I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!!\u201d Mai, 44, captioned an Instagram video<\/a> on Thursday, November 23. In the clip, Mai is teaching Monaco, 22 months, how to dress a turkey.<\/p>\n

Mai welcomed Monaco with Jeezy \u2014 whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins \u2014 in January 2022. While Mai celebrated the holiday with their daughter, Jeezy, 46, stayed off social media on Thursday and didn\u2019t reveal his Thanksgiving<\/a> plans.<\/p>\n

This is hardly the first time Mai has shown off her baby girl since her and Jeezy\u2019s split. Last month, she referred to Monaco as her \u201cNorth Star\u201d<\/a> during an interview on Sherri Shepherd<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Sherri<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can definitely tell you that I don\u2019t know if I would handle this the same way without her,\u201d Mai said of being a mother while navigating her divorce. \u201cI\u2019m able to look at her and I can say, \u2018What would I advise you? If you were in my shoes?\u2019 And it changes everything,\u201d<\/p>\n

Mai went on to say that she\u2019s \u201cthankful\u201d<\/a> to have Monaco in her life.<\/p>\n

Mai and Jeezy were married for two years before Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed that the rapper filed for divorce<\/a> on September 14.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJeezy and Jeannie Mai were married for less than three years when they decided to go their separate ways. The pair, who met in 2018, announced their engagement in April 2020. Later that year, their romance made waves when Mai revealed she couldn\u2019t wait to \u201csubmit\u201d to her new husband. \u201cIn order for us to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jeezy claimed in court documents filed in Georgia, which were signed in June, that his marriage to Mai was irretrievably broken\u201d with \u201cno hope for reconciliation\u201d and that the estranged couple were \u201ccurrently living in a bona fide state of separation.\u201d Per the docs, the former couple signed a prenup prior to their March 2021 wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In terms of their daughter, Jeezy is seeking joint physical and legal custody of Monaco \u201con a temporary and permanent basis.\u201d The docs noted that the final decision would be \u201cdetermined by the court in accordance with the child\u2019s best interests.\u201d (Jeezy is also the father of three children from previous relationships.)<\/p>\n

Jeezy offered more insight<\/a> into the breakup during an interview with Nia Long<\/strong> earlier this month, explaining that it \u201chasn\u2019t been an easy journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
