The suit \u2014 which also names Combs\u2019 companies Bad Boy Entertainment and and Combs Enterprises as defendants \u2014 was filed under the Adult Survivors Act, which allowed alleged victims of sexual abuse a one-year period to file civil suits for offenses beyond the typical statute of limitations. Thursday marked the final day to file a complaint under the act.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"cutid1\"\/><br \/>Dickerson-Neal is suing Combs for \u201csubstantial and lifetime injuries\u201d that she says resulted from the alleged assault, including \u201csevere depression and suicide ideation.\u201d <br \/>Dickerson-Neal is demanding a trial by jury and compensation for her \u201cmental and emotional injury, distress, pain and suffering and injury to her reputation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In a statement to CNN, a spokesperson for Combs called the allegations \u201cmade up and not credible,\u201d adding that the suit is \u201cpurely a money grab.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head.
