The \u2018Bad Blood\u2019 singer, 33, said she was left \u201coverwhelmed\u201d with grief over the shock passing of Ana Clara Benevides, 23 \u2013 who is said to have fainted ahead of her death on Friday (17.11.23) while she was in the front row of the Est\u00e1dio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro in temperatures of 60C to see Taylor perform.<\/p>\n

Officials have now launched a probe into a Brazilian entertainment company after a fan died during a show they produced for Taylor Swift<\/a> last week, according to NBC News.<\/p>\n

Authorities in Rio de Janeiro told the outlet they are probing Time4Fun, the organizers behind Taylor\u2019s \u2018Eras Tour\u2019 concerts in the South American country.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Civil Police Department said its consumer delegations department are investigating whether the entertainment company committed the \u201cthe crime of endangering the life and health\u201d of its concertgoers.<\/p>\n

\nA representative for the watchdog said: \u201cEvent organizers will be called to testify, and other steps are underway to investigate the facts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nBut NBC added the investigation is not directly related to the death of Ana.<\/p>\n

\nTime4Fun issued a long statement on their website in Portuguese on Thursday (23.11.23) that said: \u201cThe comfort, safety and well-being of our consumers and employees are, always our priorities.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cRegarding the events in Rio de Janeiro, we apologize to the fans who did not have the best possible experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe group added about Ana\u2019s death: \u201cWe are absolutely devastated by the loss \u2026 despite the prompt care and all the efforts carried out by the medical teams at the event and, later, at the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe organisers claimed in their statement this was the \u201cfirst time in more than 40 years of operation\u201d a death was reported at one of their events.<\/p>\n

\nTheir statement added: \u201cWe make ourselves available to family members to provide any assistance they may need necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nIt added they were allegedly instructed by Ana\u2019s relatives to speak to them via their attorney, saying: \u201cWe understand the deep pain of this loss irreparable, we respect the family\u2019s privacy and reinforce T4F\u2019s willingness to collaborate with both the family and the responsible authorities, who are still working to determine the cause of death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAfter Ana\u2019s death, the organisers were slammed for not allowing concertgoers to bring water bottles into the packed stadium despite the extreme heat. <\/p>\n

\nTemperatures during the 17 November concert where she died were reportedly 43.8C, but felt like 59.7C \u2013 equivalent to near 140F.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
