\u201cI should have been dead before loads of them. Why am I the last man standing? Sometimes I look in the mirror and go, \u2018Why did you make it?\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cI should have been dead a thousand times. I\u2019ve had my stomach pumped God knows how many times.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nOzzy, who is set to turn 75 on 3 December and has been married to his wife Sharon, 71, for 41 years, added: \u201cI don\u2019t fear dying, but I don\u2019t want to have a long, painful and miserable existence.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI like the idea that if you have a terminal illness, you can go to Switzerland and get it done quickly. I saw my father die of cancer.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said to Sharon that I\u2019d smoked a joint recently and she said, \u2018What are you doing that for? It\u2019ll kill you!\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said, \u2018How long do you want me to live for?\u2019 At best, I\u2019ve got 10 years left and, when you\u2019re older, time picks up speed.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMe and Sharon had our 41st wedding anniversary recently and that\u2019s just unbelievable to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nOzzy is set to retire as he continues to battle a rare \u2013 but mild \u2013 form of Parkinson\u2019s.<\/p>\n
\nBut he said it is surgeries following a fall in 2019 that have resulted in his biggest health fights.<\/p>\n
\nAn accident dislodged metal rods which had been inserted into his back after a quad bike accident at his home in Buckinghamshire, south-east England, in 2003 and earlier this year, the rocker underwent spinal surgery for a fourth time in a bid to repair another operation \u2013 where a tumour was also discovered.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Rolling Stone magazine: \u201cThe second surgery went drastically wrong and virtually left me crippled.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI thought I\u2019d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one they put a rod in my spine. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThey found a tumour in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too. It\u2019s pretty rough, man, and my balance is (messed) up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
