Jacob Elordi<\/strong><\/a> is flattered by rumors that he could be the next James Bond.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s beautiful,\u201d Elordi, 26, said of the 007 buzz during a Monday, November 20, interview with Extra<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI just like that people maybe want to put me in their movies. That makes me really glad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elordi is one of several A-listers rumored to be in the running to replace Daniel Craig<\/strong>, who last portrayed the MI6 intelligence officer during No Time to Die<\/em> in September 2021. There has also been speculation about Reg\u00e9-Jean Page<\/strong>, Idris Elba<\/strong> and Dev Patel<\/strong> taking up the mantle.<\/p>\n

Only time will tell whether or not Elordi will step into the shoes once filled by Craig, 55, Pierce Brosnan<\/strong> and Sean Connery<\/strong>. However, the actor did recently take on another big role: that of Elvis Presley in the biographical film Priscilla<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWho will it be? Daniel Craig will say goodbye to James Bond after the premiere of No Time to Die in September 2021 \u2014 and fans have questions about the next actor in line. Craig originally suited up for the character in 2006, appearing in five films since then as the British secret agent. The [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During an interview with Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> published just after the film\u2019s October release, writer and director Sofia Coppola<\/strong> noted how impressed the real Priscilla Presley<\/strong> was by Elordi\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we watched the film with Priscilla the first time, what struck her the most was how much his voice sounded like [her late ex-husband] Elvis. So, that was a big thrill,\u201d Coppola, 52, said.<\/p>\n

Elordi chimed in to say that Priscilla\u2019s approval was \u201ca great relief.\u201d The Euphoria<\/em> actor opened up more about the role during an October appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>. He admitted that portraying the King of Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll was \u201ca little bit terrifying\u201d but said working with Coppola was \u201cpure bliss.\u201d<\/p>\n

The American Horror Story actress earned an Emmy for her portrayal of famous prosecutor Marcia Clark in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elordi doesn\u2019t look back on all of his acting projects so fondly. During an interview with GQ<\/em><\/a> earlier this month, he recalled feeling \u201cdead inside\u201d<\/a> while working on the Kissing Booth<\/em> trilogy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want to make those movies before I made those movies,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cThose movies are ridiculous. They\u2019re not universal. They\u2019re an escape.\u201d Despite his feelings, Elordi emphasized that he is \u201cincredibly grateful to everybody\u201d involved in the films<\/p>\n

One of Elordi\u2019s former costars Taylor Zakhar Perez<\/strong>, who played Marco Valentin Pe\u00f1a in both Kissing Booth<\/em> sequels, reacted to the comments<\/a> during a Friday, November 17, interview with Variety<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
