All good? Summer House<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> revealed what really happened when Mya Allen<\/strong><\/a> texted him about meeting up to smoke back in February 2022 \u2014 and why it was \u201cawkward\u201d for him.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought it was weird, for sure. I mean, I didn\u2019t actually respond,\u201d Carl, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/em>on Wednesday, January 8, of the uncomfortable text exchange<\/a> between him and Mya, 30, featured on the season 7 premiere. \u201cI was in a separate car leaving Family Feud<\/em> with Andrea [Denver]<\/strong><\/a> and Alex [Wach]<\/strong><\/a> and I was driving back and I got the text and I was like, \u2018This is a little weird.\u2019 Like, she\u2019s in the car with [my then-girlfriend] Lindsay [Hubbard]<\/strong><\/a> right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Season 7 of Summer House<\/em>, which premiered on Monday, February 13<\/a>, started off with major tension between Mya and Carl over an alleged altercation she had with Lindsay, 36, in February 2022.<\/p>\n According to Mya, she texted Carl at the time to \u201csmoke a J\u201d and when she told Lindsay about it, the Hubb House PR founder attacked her. \u201cShe told me that I was not respectful of their relationship<\/a>. She also accused me of wanting Carl in a romantic way,\u201d Mya claimed on the show.<\/p>\n The Knead cookie founder<\/a> briefly addressed the situation with Carl on Monday\u2019s episode, and he explained that he wasn\u2019t smoking weed at the time, which is probably why Lindsay came in so hot to protect him. (Carl proposed to the publicist in August 2022<\/a> while filming season 7 of the reality show.)<\/p>\n The former Loverboy VP of Sales<\/a> told Us<\/em> on Wednesday that his dynamic with Mya shifted over the summer, but they have since mended fences.<\/p>\n \u201cListen, I bonded with Mya the previous summer [in 2021]. We had, like, a friendship. We still do<\/a>,\u201d Carl recalled of their relationship pre-text drama. \u201cBut I mean, we would text here and there, but we didn\u2019t, like, hang out outside of the house unless it was with other people.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cLindsay obviously has my best interest in trying to communicate and I appreciate that. Mya was very supportive of us towards the end of the summer \u2026 which really meant a lot. And I think that brought us, you know, closer and we love Mya. I think it was just kind of an awkward moment<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Lindsay, for her part, exclusively told Us<\/em> on Wednesday that fans will see her and Mya squash their beef this season.<\/p>\n \u201cWe hash it out and then we move on. And to be honest, like, I think in that conversation we learned a lot about each other<\/a>,\u201d the New York native revealed. \u201cShe was there not only for me this summer, but for Carl. And I think I really appreciated her friendship. I\u2019m good with Mya and she\u2019s good with us as far as I know right now.\u201d<\/p>\n During the season 7 premiere, viewers also learned that Lindsay had started drinking again after being sober from the end of 2021 and into spring of 2022 to support Carl\u2019s sobriety journey<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, first and foremost, I just wanna say like, it\u2019s been amazing having a partner and a friend and a lover who has been very understanding and accommodating and supportive,\u201d Carl told Us<\/em> of his reaction to his fianc\u00e9e\u2019s choice to drink on occasion. \u201cIt\u2019s not easy to be in a relationship<\/a> with someone who has the challenges that I have, and I forget that sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pennsylvania native<\/a> noted that it was \u201cmassive\u201d for him that Lindsay took a \u201cbreak\u201d from drinking to make his life easier. However, he insisted that he has no issue with his partner enjoying alcohol.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted her to do what\u2019s best for her and honestly, her having a glass of wine with her aunt or having a Loverboy with whoever, I fully support that<\/a>,\u201d Carl said. \u201cI think it\u2019s all about communication and understanding, you know, what works for each other and it\u2019s a constant conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n Lindsay echoed Carl\u2019s sentiments, telling Us<\/em>, \u201cIt was a lot of, like, compromise and communication<\/a> and just respect surrounding levels of drinking for me and, like, making sure he\u2019s comfortable. \u2026 That is one lifestyle that we differ on. It\u2019s just a lot of compromise.\u201d<\/p>\n Summer House<\/em> airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
