Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> surprised the audience with a special video message<\/span>\u00a0during the Tuesday, November 21, episode of Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>, which honored her music and groundbreaking year.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey guys it\u2019s Taylor. I just want to say thank you so much for having this me-themed night on Dancing With the Stars,\u201d Swift, 33, told the DWTS<\/em> audience while explaining why she couldn\u2019t be there in person. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see what your amazing choreographers and my friend Mandy Moore<\/strong> have in store. I so wish I could be there because I\u2019m on tour in Brazil.\u201d<\/p>\n

The six remaining couples danced to songs from Swift\u2019s expansive discography throughout the episode, which was deemed \u201cA Celebration of Taylor Swift.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore, the lead choreographer of Swift\u2019s Eras Tour<\/em> and a longtime choreographer on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, joined the tribute episode as a guest judge. Carrie Ann Inaba<\/strong><\/a>, Derek Hough<\/strong><\/a> and Bruno Tonioli<\/strong><\/a> rounded out the judging panel.<\/p>\n

Fans have been clamoring for a Swift-themed night on the ABC reality series since October, when pro Peta Murgatroyd<\/strong><\/a> let slip that it was in the works. \u201cWe will be having a Taylor Swift week<\/a> here,\u201d she told Billboard<\/em> at the time. \u201cAm I allowed to say that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Pro Artem Chigvintsev<\/strong><\/a> also hinted that Swift, 33, would feature heavily in a future episode while appearing on wife Nikki Garcia<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s \u201cNikki & Brie Show\u201d podcast with his season 32 partner, Charity Lawson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother night I am excited for, and I wanted to know, Charity, if you are excited as well, is Taylor Swift. Are you a Swiftie?\u201d Garcia, 40, asked, to which Lawson, 27, replied, \u201cI am not a major one, but I do love her, so, yeah. I am super excited about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawson noted that she \u201cdid request\u201d one of Swift\u2019s songs during the first week of the season. \u201cThey were like, \u2018You can\u2019t do it,\u2019\u201d she revealed. Chigvintsev, 41, then chimed in to add, \u201cMaybe they said no because \u2026\u201d before trailing off.<\/p>\n

After more than a month of speculation, cohost Alfonso Ribeiro<\/strong><\/a> finally confirmed during the November 7 episode that a Swift-centric night would occur<\/a> two weeks later.<\/p>\n
