Brad Pitt<\/strong><\/a> is putting his driving skills to the test in his upcoming Formula 1 biopic \u2014 and the real racers are noticing \u2014 according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be very exciting,\u201d Bruckheimer, 80, told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> of the new film on Saturday, November 18, while attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix with Pitt, 59, in Las Vegas. \u201cWe have Brad Pitt racing. We did some background filming and we\u2019ll be back here next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

He gushed over Pitt\u2019s skills behind the wheel<\/a>, teasing, \u201cHe does it all himself. He\u2019s an amazing athlete, the drivers are amazed at how good he is.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Top Gun\u00a0star is known for his dedication to stunt work, even when it leads to injury. Cruise broke his ankle while jumping from scaffolding [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The filmmaker explained that his team had to pause shooting the racing biopic due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) picketing concluded earlier this month<\/a> after beginning in July. It followed the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike<\/a>, which lasted from May to September, both of which fought against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for better labor laws, wages and AI restrictions for its members.<\/p>\n

With the strikes over, Bruckheimer revealed that his crew filmed a few things while in Las Vegas for the big event this past weekend. He also explained that the cast will \u201cbe in the cars after the first of the year\u201d as they fully resume shooting.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAmid Brad Pitt\u2019s lengthy career in Hollywood, he\u2019s been candid about his mental and physical health challenges through the years. \u201cI think I spent years with a low-grade depression, and it\u2019s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self \u2014 the beauty and the ugly\u2014 that I\u2019ve been able [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pitt, for his part, will begin filming in mid-December, according to Bruckheimer. \u201cIt\u2019s all about the drama and the characters,\u201d the producer added of the film\u2019s premise. \u201cIt\u2019s a great character study, the characters, drivers, the people around them who run those teams, the managers of the teams.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sports movie doesn\u2019t have an official title, but Pitt was previously announced as playing the fictional racer Sonny Hayes. Sonny is a retired athlete who returns to F1 racing to help train up and comer Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Ahead of production shutdowns this past summer, Pitt and Idris, 32, were spotted in white racing jumpsuits at the British Grand Prix in July. The twosome were seen shooting scenes for the project and chatting with real racers while in England.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOne month after they were first linked, Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon were already celebrating milestones together. The Oscar winner and de Ramon were spotted hanging out on Pitt\u2019s 59th birthday in December 2022, just weeks after the pair were seen attending a Bono concert with famous pals including Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the months that followed, Pitt didn\u2019t film any other projects, but he did keep himself busy by fostering his relationship with girlfriend Ines de Ramon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
