\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong><\/a> is responding to speculation that she lip-synced while performing \u201cLift Every Voice and Sing\u201d just before kickoff at the 2023 Super Bowl<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 66-year-old Abbott Elementary star gave an unbelievable performance of the song<\/a> in the pre-game portion of the evening, but some questioned if she had been lip-syncing.<\/p>\n Keep reading to see her response\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n When asked if she was lip-syncing the song, Sheryl <\/strong>told THR<\/em><\/a>, \u201cDoes it matter? Does it matter? No. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n About the momentous occasion, Sheryl <\/strong>added, \u201cIt\u2019s just so amazing that they chose me. And then the Eagles are in the Super Bowl. I mean, come on. You know God must be a woman because all of this is just too perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cJust amazing, just stunning,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd the way people have been coming back, they said, \u2018Girl, you made the pre-show look like it was trying to be halftime.\u2019 They said, \u2018The costume. The wardrobe. The hair. The shoes. The makeup.\u2019 I was just like, \u2018Well, thank you. Fenty<\/em> of it all, hey.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAbbott Elementary takes place in Philadelphia. My husband is a senator in Philadelphia. And this year the Eagles [went] to the Super Bowl \u2014 I had already been chosen to sing,\u201d she added about the honor. \u201cAll I can do is thank God \u2014 that God would deliver me all these flowers at this point in my career. There\u2019s so many people that have written me off and said, \u2018Well, that\u2019s it for her.\u2019 And if it had been, that\u2019s all for me, everybody would\u2019ve said, \u2018Well, she had a great career.\u2019 But now it\u2019s going from great to OK, that\u2019s pretty damn amazing. How fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOK, my God, what\u2019s she going to do next? Produce a blockbuster? Act in a blockbuster? Who\u2019s she going to play? Is she going to be a superhero?
