Barry Keoghan<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s reservations about full-frontal nudity in Saltburn<\/em> quickly faded away after the cameras started rolling on the scene where he dances naked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe initial thing was about me having no clothes on. I\u2019m a bit, ehhh,\u201d Keoghan, 31, told Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Friday, November 17. \u201cBut after take one, I was ready to go. I was like, \u2018Let\u2019s go again. Let\u2019s go again.\u2019 You kind of forget, because there\u2019s such a comfortable environment created, and it gives you that license to go, \u2018All right, this is about the story now.’\u201d<\/p>\n

He credited choreographer Polly Bennett<\/strong>, who also worked on Elvis<\/em>, with making sure he was comfortable. \u201cI didn\u2019t know I could dance like that, by the way. I was like, \u2018Wow. Where did them things come from?\u2019 Do ya know what I mean?\u201d the Banshees of Inisherin<\/em> actor added.<\/p>\n

Keoghan always understood why it was important for his character, Oliver, to strip down. \u201cIt\u2019s so relatable, though, right? Let\u2019s be honest. Dancing around in your own space and being silly, knowing that nobody\u2019s watching, and moving your body in any sort of ways it wants to go. We\u2019re at our truest and rawest point when we\u2019re naked,\u201d he told Vogue<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

James raised eyebrows with his performance as Cameron during season 2 of The White Lotus, particularly in a memorable scene where Harper (Aubrey Plaza) accidentally snuck a peek at Cameron (James) [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued, \u201cWhen we\u2019re alone, that facade drops. We get to see a glimpse of Oliver at his truest point. It\u2019s a bit of a power thing as well. Then I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, s\u2013t, what happens after that?\u2019 It\u2019s just downwards. He\u2019s got to find something else now, because he\u2019s reached the basically the pinnacle. Where do you go from there?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the scene was filmed 11 times, Saltburn<\/em> director Emerald Fennell<\/strong><\/a> revealed. \u201cThey were all very beautiful,\u201d she told Variety<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s quite a complicated and technical camera. A lot of the time, he was immensely patient because there was a lot of naked dancing. Take number seven was technically perfect. You could hear everyone\u2019s overjoyed response, but I had to say \u2018sorry\u2019 because it was missing whatever it was that made Oliver that slightly human messiness. So, we had to do it a further four times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keoghan quipped, \u201cI think we got it on the fourth take, but people just wanted to keep seeing me dancing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCommitting to the role. Over the years, actors have filmed nude scenes and decided to wear body prosthetics instead of completely exposing themselves on screen. Eric Dane, who plays Cal Jacobs on Euphoria, previously explained what goes into working on such a vulnerable part of the project. \u201cThose scenes are very difficult to shoot. It [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While speaking to EW<\/em>, Fennell, 38, raved about Keoghan\u2019s determination to get the scene just right. \u201cBarry, to his credit, did it four more times until the one that you see, which has this total f\u2013king evil joie de vivre that is impossible not to be on board with,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
