The New York Police Department shut down a report that Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a> was the subject of an investigation after Cassie<\/strong><\/a> filed a sexual assault and abuse lawsuit<\/a> against him on Thursday, November 16.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no such investigation, at present,\u201d the organization\u2019s Deputy Commissioner, Public Information told Us Weekly<\/em> on Friday, November 17. \u201cThe NYPD always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that support and services can be offered to survivors and a comprehensive investigation can be conducted.\u201d<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/a> previously reported that access to an NYPD case against Diddy was \u201clocked\u201d due to its sensitive nature.<\/p>\n

The false investigation report came one day after news broke that Cassie was suing Diddy, her former collaborator and on-again, off-again boyfriend.<\/p>\n

While Cassie (real name Cassandra Ventura) has since married Alex Fine and become a mother, her relationship with Diddy hasn\u2019t stopped making headlines. The New York Times reported in November 2023 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the lawsuit, obtained by Us<\/em>, Cassie is referred to as a \u201cvictim of sex trafficking,\u201d claiming that Diddy forced her to have sex with male prostitutes on camera, insisted she take drugs, and that Cassie was beaten by Diddy in high-end hotels and his homes across the country. Cassie also accused Diddy of forcibly raping her in 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,\u201d she said in a statement to The New York Times<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, November 16.<\/p>\n

Diddy\u2019s lawyer, Ben Brafman<\/strong>, told the outlet that his client \u201cvehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,\u201d noting, \u201cFor the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura\u2019s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brafman continued: \u201cDespite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs\u2019s reputation and seeking a payday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cassie\u2019s legal team, meanwhile, claimed that she rejected an eight-figure offer from Diddy made in an attempt \u201cto silence her.\u201d<\/p>\n
