Mariah Carey<\/strong><\/a> hasn\u2019t driven in years and revealed she doesn\u2019t have a current license. The singer said she\u2019s capable of getting behind the wheel, but explained why she doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n \u201cThe thing is, it\u2019s just better for me to go with somebody and not drive, but I can drive,\u201d Mariah, 53, confessed during a Wednesday, November 15, appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n The topic came about after Jennifer,<\/b>\u00a043, revealed she drives herself to work each day. \u201cIf there was one street where I could say \u2018this is a safe street for me to drive,\u2019 I would do that,\u201d Mariah responded.<\/p>\n \u201cI was going to get my license, but I let it expire,\u201d the Grammy winner continued, adding, \u201cI did have one, but I left where I was living and was living in the city, and you really don\u2019t want to drive in Manhattan. I don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n Mariah explained she tried to get a new license but found out it had expired seven years ago. \u201cSo, I was going to have to take the test again and I was like I don\u2019t\u2026,\u201d before Jennifer interjected, \u201cI don\u2019t think I would pass if I had to take the test again.\u201d Mimi replied, \u201cThat\u2019s what I\u2019m saying!\u201d<\/p>\n The New York native promised, \u201cSo, now I\u2019m going to try to get the license again, OK?\u201d<\/p>\n During the segment, the \u201cDream Lover\u201d songstress revealed some surprising secrets about her footwear. When asked what the most casual piece of clothing in her closet was, Mariah replied, \u201cProbably some hideous slides that someone made me purchase.\u201d She also shared that she can\u2019t wear sneakers because they give her blisters on the back of her feet.<\/p>\n That doesn\u2019t mean the fashionista is a fan of sky-high heels either. \u201cHeels hurt too so I don\u2019t really know what to do,\u201d Mariah confessed before adding that her favorite footwear is fuzzy slippers.<\/p>\n The queen of Christmas<\/a> is making the promotional rounds ahead of the 2023 Billboard Music Awards<\/a> on Sunday, November 19, where she will be performing her iconic tune \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You,\u201d for the first time at an awards show.<\/p>\n Mariah will be joined by two very special guests for the BBMAs, as Moroccan and Monroe \u2014 her 12-year-old twins<\/a> she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon \u2014 will be taking part.<\/p>\n \u201cI love it.
