Rihanna<\/strong><\/a> brought down the house during her halftime show performance at Super\u00a0B<\/span>owl LVII.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Rihanna, 34, sang a medley of her hits at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, February 12. The \u201cUmbrella\u201d singer donned a red jumpsuit while belting out some of her most popular songs including \u201cDiamonds\u201d and \u201cBitch Better Have My Money.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to her appearance, previous Super Bowl performers took to social media to wish the Barbados native luck. \u201cRemembering good times and wishing you the best vibes for tonight\u2019s show, Rih!\u201d Shakira<\/strong>,<\/a> who led the 2022 halftime show alongside Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a>, wrote via Twitter. \u201cSending you all the love. You got this @rihanna,\u201d 2015 performer Katy Perry<\/strong> <\/a>also tweeted.<\/p>\n Chris Brown<\/strong><\/a>, who dated the \u201cWork\u201d artist for three years before their tumultuous split in 2009, also seemingly supported his ex during her big moment. \u201cGo girl,\u201d he wrote via his Instagram Stories following the 13-minute show.<\/p>\n In September 2022, Rihanna\u00a0<\/b>announced that she would headline the major\u00a0event<\/a> by\u00a0sharing a photo of what appeared to be her tattooed hand holding up an NFL-branded football.<\/p>\n The official NFL Instagram then confirmed the news by posting the same snap<\/a> with the caption, \u201cLet\u2019s GO \u2013 @badgalriri @rocnation #SBLVII @applemusic @nflonfox.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage,\u201d Seth Dudowsky<\/strong>, NFL Head of Music, said in a statement\u00a0at the time.\u00a0\u201cRihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. Self-made in business and entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n In January, the pop star teased fans about what was to come<\/a> when she tweeted\u00a0a 12-second \u201cpregame\u201d of her getting ready for the halftime show\u00a0in her Savage X Fenty Game Day Collection.\u00a0<\/b>The video contained clips of Rihanna from different angles in a stunning\u00a0Savage x Fenty outfit.<\/p>\n That same month, she announced her Game\u00a0Day collection<\/a> \u2014 which included everything from Rihanna-themed hats and jerseys.<\/p>\n The Super Bowl LVII halftime\u00a0show marked Rihanna\u2019s first major performance since Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed she had given birth to her son \u2014 whom she shares with ASAP Rocky<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 in May 2022.<\/p>\n While the proud parents have not yet publicly announced their son\u2019s name,\u00a0a source told Us<\/em> prior to his birth that Rihanna intended to honor her \u201cBarbados heritage<\/a> \u2026 [as well as] A$AP\u2019s roots\u201d with his moniker. \u201cThey want both of their cultures included,\u201d the insider added: \u201cIt is very important to them to keep where they are from passed down to their child.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cWe Found Love\u201d artist and New York native were friends for years before sparking romance speculation.
