As his daughter, I don\u2019t read this and see any of my father in this character,\u201d Lisa Marie said. \u201cI read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective and I don\u2019t understand why? I will be forced to be in a position where I will have to openly say how I feel about the film and go against you, my mother and this film publicly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The movie, which is based on her mother\u2019s 1985 memoir,<em> Elvis &amp; Me<\/em>, and stars <strong>Cailee Spaeny<\/strong>, does not shy away from the fact that Priscilla was just 14 when she met Elvis, and depicts the rock \u2019n\u2019 roll legend as controlling, even violent at times. It didn\u2019t sit well with Lisa Marie, who, a source exclusively tells<em> Life &amp; Style<\/em>, was \u201cextremely protective\u201d of her family\u2019s image. \u201cI hope that when you see the final film you will feel differently,\u201d Sofia replied back, \u201cand understand I\u2019m taking great care in honoring your mother, while also presenting your father with sensitivity and complexity.\u201d Lisa Marie never did, of course.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/lisa-marie-presley-was-protective-of-her-familys-image\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All shook up!
