Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong><\/a> let a little \u201crage\u201d in while performing her song \u201cBlindsided.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballerini, 30, sang the ballad \u2014 which is seemingly about her divorce from ex-husband Morgan Evans<\/strong> \u2014 during a surprise appearance for a live taping of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast in Nashville. The singer posted a video of the performance via Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, November 15, where she put up two middle fingers after singing the lyrics, \u201cYou would have searched the whole world over? Yea, sure, OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

Backstage, Ballerini shared why she decided to make the gesture, saying, \u201cI always wanted to flip the bird on stage but I\u2019ve always been a little too nervous, a little too nervous because I\u2019m a good girl, but I have a little rage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBlindsided\u201d is from Ballerini\u2019s Rolling Up The Welcome Mat<\/em> <\/a>EP, which was released in February 2022 and is currently nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album<\/a>. It was accompanied by a 20-minute short film portraying a woman, played by Ballerini, going through the stages of grief as she experiences the end of a marriage and an impending divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if I would have written a song like \u2018Blindsided\u2019 had I not been responding to something that was already out there,\u201d Ballerini told the New York Times<\/em><\/a> in March.<\/p>\n

Evans, 38, responded to \u201cBlindsided\u201d on Instagram <\/a>in February, writing, \u201cIt\u2019s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren\u2019t reality and that leave out what really happened.\u201d He added, \u201cShe knows I\u2019m not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly. If this is what she needs to heal, I hope it helps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the pair\u2019s divorce<\/a>, Ballerini moved on with Chase Stokes.<\/strong> The twosome began dating in December 2022, and Ballerini made the relationship Instagram official two months later.<\/p>\n
