Among the many allegations in Cassie<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a>, she claimed that the music mogul once threatened to blow up Kid Cudi<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s car.<\/p>\n

According to Cassie, Diddy, now 54, became \u201cso angry\u201d when he found out she was dating Cudi, now 39, in 2012. \u201cAround that time, Kid Cudi\u2019s car exploded in his driveway,\u201d read court documents obtained by The New York Times<\/i> <\/a>on Thursday, November 16. Cudi\u2019s spokesperson told the outlet that Cassie\u2019s account was \u201call true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diddy and Cassie, 37, dated off and on starting in 2007. Cassie sparked a romance with Cudi in April 2012 during one of the breaks in her relationship with Diddy.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0New York Times\u00a0and the\u00a0New Yorker first published investigative pieces in 2017 that accused disgruntled movie producer Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment. Soon after, Weinstein stood trial and was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cassie, who was once signed to Diddy\u2019s record label, accused him of rape and repeated physical abuse<\/a> that lasted for nearly a decade in her Thursday court filing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,\u201d Cassie said in a statement to the Times.<\/i><\/p>\n

Cassie\u2019s attorney Douglas Wigdor<\/strong> further told the newspaper that Cassie and her legal team spoke with Diddy before filing the lawsuit. According to Wigdor, Diddy allegedly offered Cassie \u201ceight figures\u201d in an effort to \u201csilence her,\u201d but she denied his supposed payday.<\/p>\n

Diddy denied Cassie\u2019s accusations in a statement provided by his attorney.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,\u201d lawyer Ben Brafman<\/strong> told The New York Times<\/i>. \u201cFor the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura\u2019s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs\u2019s reputation and seeking a payday.\u201d<\/p>\n
