No offense, Alex. I love you and everybody with the show. But who would do that for ratings? Put their family through this,\u201d Kyle, 53, told Bravo executive <strong>Alex Baskin<\/strong> on the \u201cBravo\u2019s Hot Mic\u201d podcast on Tuesday, November 14. \u201cThat is one of the dumbest things I\u2019ve maybe ever heard in these 13 years. I\u2019m going to pretend that I\u2019m separated and torture my children so that people tune in? I mean, it\u2019s just the dumbest thing I\u2019ve ever heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/tags\/the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills-15097\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em><\/a> star added that she\u2019s \u201cnot looking to be more relevant\u201d after starring on the reality show for 13 years. \u201cI would never put my family through this, ever, for \u2026 I almost said it was a dumb TV show, sorry!\u201d Kyle continued.<\/p>\n<p>The Bravo star concluded that the accusations are \u201cso annoying\u201d and \u201cfrustrating,\u201d and they \u201ccouldn\u2019t be any more different than who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>News broke on July 3 that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/kyle-richards-split-separated-from-mauricio-umansky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle and Mauricio, 53, had split<\/a> after 27 years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what\u2019s next for them and their family,\u201d a source revealed to People at the time.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SNEAK PEEK: Kyle Richards Talks Kathy Hilton Drama and Marriage on Bravo&#039;s Hot Mic Podcast | Bravo\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MYQZxXJdmic?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The couple responded to the report via Instagram the following day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/kyle-richards-breaks-silence-on-mauricio-umansky-separation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shutting down divorce rumors<\/a> but confirming that they\u2019ve \u201chad a rough year,\u201d the \u201cmost challenging one\u201d of their marriage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere has been no wrongdoing on anyone\u2019s part,\u201d their joint statement continued, seemingly referring to the rumors that Kyle cheated with close friend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/tags\/morgan-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Morgan Wade<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cAlthough we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Kyle and Mauricio have gotten candid about their separation several times since then. While attending BravoCon on November 4, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/kyle-richards-calls-mauricio-split-a-divorce-for-1st-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle used the word \u201cdivorce\u201d<\/a> for the first time to describe their situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been through a lot this year and it does change you,\u201d the reality star said. \u201cLosing my best friend to suicide, my divorce, all that has made me stronger. But it definitely changes you as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The next day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/kyle-richards-cries-over-mauricio-umansky-split-at-bravocon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle got emotional<\/a> as she discussed the separation and their current family dynamic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a very strong family unit. My three girls [Alexia, Sophia and Portia] still live at home, so it\u2019s still like, \u2018Who\u2019s going to be home for dinner tonight?\u2019 in the family chat,\u201d she said. \u201c[Mauricio] was busy doing Dancing With the Stars, so he wasn\u2019t around as much, but we\u2019re just trying to figure it out. We know that we love each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kyle continued as she held back tears, \u201cA lot of people say, \u2018What are you doing? Pull it together. Fix everything.\u2019 Obviously, that\u2019s what I want.
