Kevin Turen, best known for his work as a producer on HBO’s <\/span>The Idol<\/em><\/a> and <\/span>Euphoria<\/em><\/a>, has died. He was 44.<\/span><\/p>\n According to a statement from his father, Edward Turen, the producer died suddenly over the weekend. No other details have been released yet.<\/span><\/p>\n Outside of his work at HBO, Turen worked on A24’s <\/span>Pearl <\/span><\/em>starring Mia Goth, as well as the upcoming sequel, <\/span>MaXXXine<\/span><\/em>. He also produced the Oscar-nominated <\/span>Pieces of a Woman<\/span><\/em> starring <\/span>Vanessa Kirby<\/a> and <\/span>The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent<\/span><\/em> starring <\/span>Nicolas Cage<\/a> and <\/span>Pedro Pascal<\/a>. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Turen is additionally credited as a producer for the upcoming season 3 of <\/span>Euphoria<\/span><\/em>, which HBO recently announced <\/span>would not premiere until 2025<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him,” his father said Sunday evening to <\/span>Deadline<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 44-year-old Hollywood producer was born in New York City and studied cinema at Columbia University before moving out to Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
