Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong><\/a> used his Saturday Night Live <\/i><\/a>monologue to celebrate the end of the SAG-AFTRA labor strike<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI do feel lucky to be hosting after the SAG strike ended because up until two days ago, actors couldn\u2019t talk about their movies. The only thing I was allowed to talk about was that I have a commercial coming out,\u201d Chalamet, 27, began his monologue<\/a> on Saturday, November 11. \u201cIt\u2019s an ad for [Bleu de] Chanel<\/a> perfume, directed by Martin Scorcese<\/strong><\/a>. And let me tell you, when you get that call that Martin Scorcese wants to direct you, the first thing you think is, \u2018Man, I really hope it\u2019s a perfume commercial.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The actor continued: \u201cAnd now the strike is over and it\u2019s, like, all returning to this magic world where actors can once again talk about their projects.\u201d<\/p>\n To tease his upcoming role as Willy Wonka in the aptly titled Wonka <\/i>prequel<\/a>, Chalamet was handed a cane as the band started playing the opening notes to \u201cPure Imagination.\u201d<\/a> (\u201cPure Imagination\u201d was Gene Wilder<\/a>\u2019s big ballad in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory<\/i>.)<\/p>\n \u201cCome with me and you\u2019ll be in a world of shameless self-promotion,\u201d Chalament sings, switching up the lyrics. \u201cIt\u2019s OK I can say \u2026 that my new film Wonka<\/i> is out in theaters December 15. The new guidelines<\/a> guarantee a 7-percent wage increase, benefit plans and restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence in actors\u2019 contracts.<\/p>\n As Chalamet gushed about the news in his song, SNL <\/i>cast member Marcello Hernandez<\/strong> suggested they modernize the track by adding in lyrics about their similarities. Since they both have \u201cbaby faces,\u201d the twosome then burst into a rap lamenting their youthful appearances.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is dedicated to all the baby-faced dudes out there,\u201d Chalamet quips as Hernandez, 26, gives a shoutout to Justin Bieber<\/strong><\/a> and Bruno Mars<\/strong><\/a>, who also belong to the same club.<\/p>\n They duet: \u201cCheck it!
