The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Gerry Turner<\/b><\/a> is \u201cwholeheartedly in favor\u201d of the franchise doing a <\/span>Golden Bachelorette<\/span><\/i><\/a> spinoff and weighed in on which of his exes should take on the leading role.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no say in it, just to be clear, but I think it would be exciting because it\u2019s going to continue the theme that we\u2019ve started of being hopeful and being visible at our age,\u201d Gerry, 72, told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Thursday, November 9. \u201cSo hopefully it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n While Gerry hopes that one of the 22 women that competed for his heart will get the opportunity to take on the leading role, he had a hard time narrowing down his top pick for the Golden Bachelorette<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s 22 women that stand out. I absolutely would not be able to single one out,\u201d he stated. \u201cEach one of them has a certain personality that would make a show interesting and charm, and they\u2019re all intelligent, so there\u2019s no bad choice.\u201d<\/p>\n One frontrunner is Faith Martin<\/b><\/a>, who Gerry sent home during a heartbreaking elimination on the November 9 episode <\/span>following hometown dates<\/span><\/a>. While she didn\u2019t find love with Gerry, Faith, 60, hinted that she\u2019s up for the experience to be courted by several eligible men.<\/p>\n \u201cI really do believe in the process,\u201d Faith said after she was sent home. \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve seen it work and I lived it. I know that in such a short time, you can have those kind of feelings, and I trust these producers.\u201d<\/p>\n During his conversation with People, Gerry said that Faith would be a great choice for Golden Bachelorette. However, he admitted he had no advice to give her if she is chosen to star on the spinoff.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think Faith needs any advice from me. I really don\u2019t. She\u2019s got her act together,\u201d he said. \u201cShe knows what she wants. She knows what she can and can\u2019t do. Yeah, she doesn\u2019t need advice from me.\u201d<\/p>\n While the Golden Bachelorette has not yet been announced, host Jesse Palmer<\/b><\/a> has also been <\/span>outspoken about wanting to do the spinoff<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t speak on behalf of executives or anybody else, obviously,\u201d Jesse, 45, told E! News<\/em><\/a> in October. \u201cI\u2019m sure everyone\u2019s waiting to see how this one goes first. But I know there are thousands of women across America deserving of that.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he expected the viewers\u2019 interest in a spinoff to increase as the Golden Bachelor<\/em>\u2019s debut season<\/a> played out. \u201cAs the show goes on, you learn more about these women, what they\u2019ve been through,\u201d Jesse said. \u201cI think there\u2019s going to be a swell in support of there being a Golden Bachelorette.
