Horton Rum<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cI will never, ever, ever [be over] Malibu. I will still drink it, I will still love it,\u201d she gushes. \u201cI just felt like we needed something new and I am so happy with how everything turned out.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nAccording to Krista, she was warned multiple times to avoid the liquor industry with many calling it \u201cthe hardest thing you\u2019ll ever do,\u201d but she was determined to see her dream realized. While it took two years of work behind-the-scenes to perfect the recipe and have a finished product in hand, Krista\u2019s dream began long before that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI was always like, it\u2019d be so cool if we could just put Malibu and Diet in a can, which I would\u2019ve loved to do with them, but I was like, I don\u2019t think they need me. I don\u2019t think they want me,\u201d she says. \u201cWe were just wanting to do it, but then expand it too to other flavors because not everybody loves coconut rum with diet. So I was like, we got to make other flavors so that we appeal to everybody. And I feel like with the other two flavors, we did just that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nHorton Rum is currently available in three flavors, Diet Kola, Pineapple Soda and Lime Soda, with more flavor options in the works. \u201cWe\u2019re already sampling new flavors and we have next year planned out for the new flavors we\u2019re going to have coming. They\u2019re already turning out so good,\u201d Krista says.<\/span><\/p>\nAs a busy mother of three, adding a liquor company to her already-full plate was no small feat, but Krista has no plans to slow down. \u201cI feel like we\u2019ve just been going, going, going, but that\u2019s what we do. That\u2019s what I live for,\u201d she says of her family\u2019s active lifestyle.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201c[My husband] Bryce [Horton]<\/strong> tells everybody, he\u2019s like, \u2018If she didn\u2019t make a penny off of this, she would still be posting every single day.\u2019 I truly just love it. I think it\u2019s so fun. So yeah, no, I think even when I am 70 years old, me and Bryce will still be cracking jokes at each other and posting about it, and I\u2019ll be sharing my outfits or something,\u201d she says of the idea of retirement. \u201cI\u2019m sure as long as Instagram\u2019s around, I\u2019ll be there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nIf there\u2019s one place you won\u2019t find Krista and fam, however, it\u2019s on reality TV. The Bakersfield, California, native tells <\/span>Life & Style<\/span><\/i> she\u2019s \u201chappiest\u201d on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI\u2019ve kind of thought about [reality TV] for other people, not myself. I just feel like with the kids especially too, they\u2019re such a big part of our every day that I wouldn\u2019t want them in it. I wouldn\u2019t want to push them into something like that, and I wouldn\u2019t want to do it without them,\u201d she adds. \u201cI don\u2019t think I would want to do it at all. I don\u2019t know, I\u2019m such an oversharer that I\u2019d probably get myself in trouble.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nKrista \u2013 who got her start nearly 10 years ago as a stay-at-home-mom to her son Boston and winning brand ambassador searches for various small businesses \u2013 admits that she\u2019s already begun filtering what she shares on social media when it comes to her children. In addition to Boston, 10, Krista shares daughter Kollyns and son Kampbell with Bryce, 35.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cSome days I feel like I\u2019ll post and I\u2019m like, I didn\u2019t even show them at all in my stories. I feel like because they are, they\u2019re just getting older and kind of doing their own thing,\u201d she explains. \u201cI definitely always ask them, is this okay to share if it\u2019s something funny that they\u2019re doing or whatever. Kolly gets embarrassed so easily.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nWhile their mom and dad make a living off social media, Boss and Kolly, 8, are not allowed to have their own accounts. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be no time soon,\u201d Krista says. \u201cI see the bad sides of it that I don\u2019t want them anywhere near that. I know at some point there\u2019s going to be a conversation about it. But I don\u2019t know, it just doesn\u2019t seem worth it at this point.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
