\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Iman Vellani<\/strong><\/a> and Nia DaCosta<\/strong><\/a> are surprising fans at a screening for their new movie The Marvels<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 21-year-old Ms. Marvel<\/em> star and the 34-year-old director showed up at The Marvels<\/em> special screening event at the El Capitan Theatre on Thursday (November 9) in Hollywood. <\/p>\n In The Marvels<\/em>, the third feature-length film of Nia<\/strong>\u2018s career, Iman<\/strong> stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel alongside Brie Larson<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 Monica Rambeau.<\/p>\n At the event, Iman<\/strong>, Nia<\/strong>, and the film\u2019s composer Laura Karpman<\/strong> introduced The Marvels<\/em> to the audience and talked about the movie!<\/p>\n While onstage, Nia<\/strong> gushed about her time working with Iman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cIman Vellani<\/strong>, not only a superfan of this world and really enthusiastic about everything we were doing, [but] she\u2019s [also] an amazing actress, an amazing performer, and she\u2019s a genuine joy to be around.\u201d<\/p>\n Iman<\/strong> then spoke about how much she enjoyed being part of The Marvels<\/em> and playing Kamala for the first time in a movie.<\/p>\n \u201cIt felt like one weird fever dream with cats and Samuel [L.] Jackson<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>, and Samuel Jackson<\/strong> holding cats,\u201d she said. \u201cBut it\u2019s been wonderful. Kamala\u2019s truly represented so much of my life, and to be able to bring her onto the big screen, I\u2019m getting emotional talking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n The Marvels<\/em> is now playing in theaters.
