The standard membership gets you into the airline&#8217;s network of nine lounges while a Lounge+ membership gets you into Alaska lounges and those of its 25 <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/guide\/oneworld-alliance-benefits\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oneworld Alliance<\/a> and other partner airlines.<\/p>\n<p>However, the carrier does offer $100 discounts for<a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/guide\/alaska-mileage-plan-guide\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Mileage Plan<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/guide\/what-is-alaska-elite-status-worth\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">elite status members.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beginning Feb. 1, 2024, standard membership prices will increase by $50. BENJI STAWSKI\/THE POINTS GUY<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a id=\"new-lounge-entry-restrictions\" class=\"jsx-3480274316 anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"jsx-3480274316\">New lounge entry restrictions<\/h2>\n<p>Starting Feb. 1, 2024, Alaska will also tighten its lounge access rules.<\/p>\n<p>Going forward, members can only enter a lounge with a boarding pass on Alaska, a Oneworld partner or one of the airline&#8217;s other non-Oneworld partners.<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, this is a rule travelers face with most (if not all) U.S. airlines. After all, you can&#8217;t enter an <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/guide\/ultimate-guide-american-airlines-admirals-club-access\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">American Airlines Admirals Club<\/a> with a Delta Air Lines ticket.<\/p>\n<p>However, Alaska has been the exception.<\/p>\n<p>Its current rules specify that access is available to members and immediate family or up to two friends at no cost. They just need &#8220;a same-day ticketed boarding pass on any carrier.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With the new restrictions, the airline will largely bring its entry requirements in line with those of many other carriers.
