Once just a single day of sales, Black Friday is now pretty much a month-long festival of deals and that shopping season is now upon us.<\/p>\n

While the official day for Black Friday isn’t until Nov. 24, Walmart is getting ahead of the action and starting its sales early. You can currently pick up some great bargains, as you’ll see below.<\/p>\n

If you’re smart, you can also take advantage of using a Walmart+<\/a> membership (available with The Platinum Card\u00ae from American Express<\/a><\/span>) when you purchase anything in the sale to save money on delivery and bank some membership rewards points (1 point per eligible $1 spent) along the way. Additionally, those with Walmart+ get to shop both Black Friday and Cyber Monday events three hours earlier than the scheduled start times for those deals events.<\/p>\n

What is Walmart+?\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Walmart+<\/a> is Walmart’s expedited delivery subscription and gets you free shipping on thousands of items from Walmart, with no minimum spending required. (Grocery deliveries require a $35 order minimum.) It costs $12.95 per month plus local sales tax.<\/p>\n

However, in 2021, the Amex Platinum Card began offering cardmembers statement credits toward Walmart+ membership<\/a> of up to $155 per year (subject to auto-renewal; excludes any Plus Ups benefits). If you don’t have that card, there is also an Amex Offer available on some Amex cards right now that awards a $40 statement credit on a $98 Walmart+ annual membership.<\/p>\n
