Ashley Iaconetti<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0said that Bachelor Nation<\/a> was invested in what would go down between exes Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong><\/a> and Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a> during Chris Harrison<\/strong><\/a> and Lauren Zima<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s wedding weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were all really curious to see what would happen,\u201d Ashley, 35, shared during the Wednesday, November 8, episode of her \u201cThe Ben & Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast.\u201d<\/a> Ben, 34, admitted the reunion was full of \u201cintrigue and interest\u201d for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a lot of buildup behind the scenes. I can\u2019t say that anyone fully knew the dynamics of their relationship,\u201d Ben continued during Wednesday\u2019s episode. \u201cWe all know though, any time you see an ex \u2014 even if the breakup is mutual and amicable and very sweet and nice \u2014 the dynamics can be awkward. They are, because you\u2019ve broken up for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashley and Ben were among the Bachelor Nation members to attend Chris and Lauren\u2019s wedding reception<\/a>, which took place in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, November 4. The celebration marked the first reunion for Kaitlyn, 38, and Jason, 35, who called off their engagement<\/a> three months ago.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSome Bachelor Nation splits hit harder than others. The Bachelor franchise has been matchmaking since 2002. Back in 2003, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter became the first Bachelor Nation couple to walk down the aisle. The twosome, who met while filming the first season of The Bachelorette, celebrated 19 years of marriage in December 2022. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to Ashley, the former flames came face to face for the first time on Friday, November 3. The Bachelor in Paradise<\/em><\/a> alum revealed that she, Kaitlyn, Jade Roper<\/strong><\/a> and Trista Sutter<\/strong><\/a> had gone out for drinks Friday night when they ran into Jason at the same bar.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt had been a while since she\u2019s seen him,\u201d Ashley revealed. \u201cSorry to disappoint for those who want drama, but they were so totally normal all weekend long once the initial hi was done.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Ashley hoped for a \u201crekindling of a flame\u201d between them, nothing went down. Ben, however, noted he was \u201creally proud\u201d of Kaitlyn and Jason for navigating a potentially awkward situation with such grace.<\/p>\n

Kaitlyn and Jason started dating in January 2019 and announced their engagement in May 2021. The former couple announced their split<\/a> this past August.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,\u201d Kaitlyn and Jason wrote at the time in a joint statement shared via social media. \u201cWe are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.\u201d<\/p>\n

They confirmed they were dating just two months after the former Bachelorette and her ex-fianc\u00e9, Shawn Booth, called [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They added, \u201cContinuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It\u2019s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.\u201d<\/p>\n
