\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Jeremy Allen White<\/strong><\/a> is weighing in on the superhero craze that\u2019s swept Hollywood, and he doesn\u2019t seem to be a fan. <\/p>\n The 32-year-old actor hit it big as the star of The Bear<\/em> and is currently starring in The Iron Claw<\/em> alongside Zac Efron<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n Playing a wrestler in the latter role seems to be an appropriate stepping stone to embodying a classic hero. So much so that he said a famous actor asked when he was making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n In a recent interview Jeremy <\/strong>weighed in on the superhero genre and even revealed that he already auditioned for a similar project. His recollection makes it pretty clear why he won\u2019t be tackling that sort of movie in the near future. <\/p>\n Read more about Jeremy Allen White\u2019s thoughts on superhero movies\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to British GQ<\/a>, Jeremy <\/strong>revealed that actor Riz Ahmed<\/strong><\/a> asked him about Marvel ambitions. <\/p>\n \u201cI had a meeting for a kind of Marvel-y movie, and I had an attitude,\u201d he admitted, adding, \u201cI think I played it all wrong.\u201d <\/p>\n He said that he wanted the casting directors to \u201ctell me why I should do your movie,\u201d which seemingly left them unimpressed. <\/p>\n By the sounds of it, he blew the audition, but it appears that he wasn\u2019t too shook up by the situation. <\/p>\n \u201cI am confused at how the pinnacle of an actor\u2019s career has ended up in that place,\u201d he said about the genre.<\/p>\n Does he regret the audition now? \u201cI played it the way I wanted to play it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Instead, Jeremy<\/strong> expressed interest in making the \u201c$25 million drama that I think most actors want to make\u201d or starring on Broadway. <\/p>\n \u201cI guess I just want to see what it feels like,\u201d he admitted about the latter, adding that he is in talks to possibly make his debut on the stage.<\/p>\n If you missed it, the star recently addressed a viral Instagram comment<\/a> that attracted a great deal of attention. <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
