Patrick Dempsey<\/a> has been named People<\/em> magazine\u2019s Sexiest Man Alive<\/a> for 2023.<\/p>\n

The reveal was announced on Tuesday\u2019s Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em>, with the former Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> star graciously accepting the title during an appearance on the ABC late-night show. Dempsey\u2019s brand-new People magazine cover was also revealed during Tuesday\u2019s (Nov. 07, 2023) show. (Watch the video below.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad it\u2019s happening at this point in my life,\u201d Dempsey told People<\/a><\/em> in the publication\u2019s article revealing him as this year\u2019s winner. \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked how he first reacted to the news, Dempsey replied with a laugh, \u201cI was completely shocked, and then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I\u2019ve always been the bridesmaid!\u201d<\/p>\n

Pedro Pascal<\/strong>, Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong>, Usher<\/strong>, Jamie Foxx<\/strong>, Lenny Kravitz<\/strong> and Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 star center Jason Kelce<\/strong> were name-dropped earlier in the day as the \u201cmany, many sexy men\u201d featured in the publication\u2019s 2023 sexiest man alive issue alongside honoree Dempsey.<\/p>\n
