Dancing With the Stars<\/em> <\/a>contestants revisited some of the most iconic moments in pop culture during Music Video Night.<\/p>\n The Tuesday, November 7, episode kicked off with guest judge Paula Abdul<\/strong><\/a> entering as her 1989 hit \u201cForever Your Girl\u201d played. Cohost Julianne Hough<\/strong><\/a> pointed out that Abdul, 61, was the perfect person to help judge the theme night.<\/p>\n \u201cYou are one of the world\u2019s biggest music video icons,\u201d Hough, 35, told the \u201cStraight Up\u201d singer. One of the contestants who most impressed Abdul was Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> star Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou were a dazzling mix of finesse and fury and you channeled Britney Spears<\/strong> <\/a>seamlessly,\u201d Abdul told Madix, 38, after she and DWTS<\/em> pro Pasha Pashkov<\/strong> <\/a>performed a Cha Cha to Spears\u2019 2001 song \u201cI\u2019m a Slave 4 U.\u201d Madix received nines from Bruno Tonioli<\/strong><\/a>, Derek Hough<\/strong><\/a> and Carrie Ann Inaba<\/strong><\/a>, but Abdul gave her a perfect 10.<\/p>\n Other contestants didn\u2019t fare as well<\/a> during the episode. Inaba, 55, told Harry Jowsey<\/strong><\/a> that his performance suffered after his backup dancers let him take center stage. \u201cOnce the boys were no longer in front of you, it was not as good,\u201d she told Jowsey, 26, as the crowd booed.<\/p>\n Jowsey and his partner, Rylee Arnold<\/strong><\/a>, got a visit from Lance Bass<\/strong> <\/a>himself during rehearsal before they danced to \u2019NSync\u2019s \u201cIt\u2019s Gonna Be Me.\u201d However, Bass\u2019 advice to Jowsey to \u201cget out of your head and just perform\u201d didn\u2019t stop Jowsey and Arnold, 18, from being disappointed with their score: sixes from all four judges.<\/p>\n At the end of the night, Barry Williams<\/strong><\/a> and Peta Murgatroyd<\/strong><\/a> and Jowsey and Arnold<\/a> had the lowest scores of the night. However, it was Lele Pons<\/strong><\/a> and her partner, Brandon Armstrong<\/strong><\/a>, who were ultimately eliminated. Pons, 27, gushed that she was \u201cso, so grateful\u201d for the experience while Armstrong, 29, said, \u201cThis one burns.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple with the highest score of the night, Madix and Pashkov, 37, will not have to compete in next week\u2019s dance-off.<\/p>\n While they may not have been at the top of the leaderboard, Alyson Hannigan<\/strong><\/a> and her partner, Sasha Farber<\/strong><\/a>, were perhaps the most improved duo of the night. Inaba told Hannigan, 49, that her Quickstep to Christina Aguilera<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s \u201cCandyman\u201d was \u201cby far [her] best dance\u201d and said she was \u201clike a whole new girl\u201d during the performance.<\/p>\n Tonioli, 67, told the actress she \u201ceven had a little spring in her step,\u201d which he said she previously lacked. \u201cProblem solved!\u201d Tonioli decreed. Hannigan also received her first nine of the competition from Abdul.<\/p>\n In addition to the evening\u2019s partnered dances, the contestants also participated in a team dance-off. Jowsey, Pons,\u00a0Xochitl Gomez<\/strong><\/a>, Charity Lawson<\/strong> <\/a>and their pro partners danced to \u201cEverybody (Backstreet\u2019s Back)\u201d by the Backstreet Boys while Hannigan, Jason Mraz<\/strong><\/a>, Madix, Williams, 69, and their partners performed to \u201cGangnam Style\u201d by PSY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n After struggling during his jazz routine with Arnold, Jowsey redeemed himself during the group dance. Derek, 38, was so impressed by Jowsey\u2019s performance during the group number that he got up and hugged him.<\/p>\n
