Michael Strahan<\/a>\u00a0won’t be waking up with America this week. A spokesperson for\u00a0<\/span>Good Morning America<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>tells ET that the 51-year-old co-host won’t appear on the ABC morning show this week.<\/span><\/p>\n “Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” the spokesperson says. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”<\/span><\/p>\n The former New York Giants player last appeared on\u00a0<\/span>GMA\u00a0<\/span><\/em>on Oct. 26. During his absence from the morning show, Strahan also has not appeared on Fox’s\u00a0<\/span>NFL Sunday<\/span><\/em>\u00a0where he typically serves as an analyst.<\/span><\/p>\n Strahan has not publicly spoken out about his absences. He last posted to social media on Oct. 25 to promote\u00a0<\/span>The $100,000 Pyramid<\/span><\/em>, which he hosts.<\/span><\/p>\n The TV personality, who’s a <\/span>dad to four<\/a>, joined\u00a0<\/span>GMA\u00a0<\/span><\/em>in 2016 after spending four years <\/span>co-hosting\u00a0<\/a>Live!<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>with <\/span>Kelly Ripa<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Strahan normally hosts the famed morning show alongside\u00a0Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Ginger Zee.<\/span><\/p>\n In the wake of his absence, fellow ABC hosts\u00a0Juju Chang, who co-anchors <\/span>Nightline,<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and Linsey Davis, who hosts <\/span>World News Tonight<\/span><\/em> on Sundays, have filled in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
