The 77-year-old actor is determined to keep pushing himself in his later years and is proud that his schedule is just as busy as ever.<\/p>\n
Asked about the possibility of retirement, he told The Times’ Saturday Review supplement: \u201cMy mother used to say, ‘You\u2019re a long time dead.’ “<\/p>\n
Pressed on if he will at least slow down, he added: \u201cNo, I\u2019m going to get faster … I\u2019m enjoying myself more now. The great thing about being old, and that\u2019s why I recommend it to everybody, is that you don\u2019t have the anxiety you have when you\u2019re younger. What\u2019s there to be anxious about?\u201d<\/p>\n
However, the ‘Succession’ star admitted his heavy workload has taken a toll and he gets a lot more “tired” than he used to.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI get tired, I get very tired … Yesterday I thought, \u2018I\u2019ll have a lie down,\u2019 and I woke up two hours later. That\u2019s never happened to me before. I thought: \u2018Oh, you are tired, Brian. You\u2019re quite exhausted.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
\nBrian can next be seen on screen hosting ‘007: Road to a Million’ and he admitted he is happy to consider almost any job if the pay is right.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI don\u2019t have any sense of grandeur \u2014 \u2018I shouldn\u2019t do this, I shouldn\u2019t do that.\u2019 I\u2019ll do anything. Within reason.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nAsked why the game show in particular, he added: \u201cI\u2019ve no idea. I think they paid quite well.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Scottish star is worried that people take themselves too seriously these days.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “I think people just take themselves far too f****** seriously. I really do think you have to have a sense of humour about your life. <\/p>\n
\n“And as you get older, you get to my age, I look at my life and I just look at the ludicrousness of life. <\/p>\n
\n“Because life is ludicrous as far as I\u2019m concerned. It doesn\u2019t make any sense whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
