Kyle Richards<\/strong><\/a> got emotional while speaking on a panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 5. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em><\/a> star cried as she discussed her separation<\/a> from husband Mauricio Umansky<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love each other very much and are family<\/a> no matter what happens,\u201d Kyle, 54, said. \u201cWe have a very strong family unit. My three girls [Alexia, Sophia and Portia] still live at home, so it\u2019s still like, \u2018Who\u2019s going to be home for dinner tonight?\u2019 in the family chat. He was busy doing Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>, so he wasn\u2019t around as much, but we\u2019re just trying to figure it out. We know that we love each other.\u201d<\/p>\n At that point, Kyle got choked up and had to pause as she fought back tears. \u201cA lot of people say, \u2018What are you doing? Pull it together. Fix everything.\u2019 Obviously that\u2019s what I want,\u201d she continued. \u201cThis was not my idea of a fairytale, clearly. I do appreciate all your support.\u201d<\/p>\n Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Kyle and Mauricio, 53, got married in January 1996. In July, they confirmed that they had \u201cthe most challenging\u201d year of their marriage amid reports that they had broken up. However, they insisted that they were not divorcing.<\/p>\n \u201cAny claims regarding us divorcing are untrue,\u201d the estranged couple said in a joint statement. \u201cHowever, yes, we have had a rough year.\u201d<\/p>\n Kyle seemed to change her tune a bit during a November 4 BravoCon interview, though, when she referred to the separation as a \u201cdivorce\u201d for the first time<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve been through a lot this year and it does change you,\u201d Kyle said. \u201cLosing my best friend to suicide, my divorce, all that has made me stronger. But it definitely changes you as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n The interview came following Mauricio\u2019s elimination<\/a> from Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, where he was partnered with Emma Slater<\/strong><\/a>. Emma, 34, and Mauricio spent time together outside the ballroom both before and after they were sent home from the dancing competition. On one night out, they were seen holding hands as they left a restaurant together.<\/p>\n Although Mauricio and Emma denied rumors<\/a> that they are dating, Kyle was admittedly hurt<\/a> by the photos of her estranged husband looking cozy with another woman. \u201c[It] was hard to see,\u201d Kyle said on the November 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em>. \u201cThat hurt my feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n
