Pink<\/strong><\/a> was just 16 years old when she hit rock bottom. In 1995, the singer (born Alecia Moore<\/strong>) \u2014 who had dropped out of high school and was selling drugs<\/a> \u2014 almost died while partying at a rave on Thanksgiving. \u201cI was on ecstasy, angel dust, crystal [meth], all kinds of things,\u201d she recalled during a recent interview with 60 Minutes<\/em>. \u201cAnd then I was out, done, too much. I was off the rails.\u201d It was a wake-up call for the 44-year-old star \u2014 and life-changing in more ways than one. \u201cThe OD was a terrifying experience,\u201d an insider exclusively<\/a> tells Life & Style<\/em> \u201cbut it gave Pink a second chance. She never touched drugs again.\u201d She survived \u2014 and thrived, going on to sign her first record deal just a few weeks later. \u201cPink\u2019s always been tough,\u201d says the insider. \u201cShe had a rough childhood, but she persevered.
