Yellowstone <\/span><\/i><\/a>fans can finally start the countdown for the remaining episodes of season 5! After ongoing drama onset caused multiple delays in productions followed by the writers\u2019 and actors\u2019 strikes, Paramount announced a premiere date for the finale episodes of the hit series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The show \u2013 starring Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly <\/strong>and Wes Bentley<\/strong>, among others \u2013 follows patriarch John Dutton, played by the Field of Dreams<\/em> actor, and his family as they fight to protect their Montana ranch from outside forces.<\/span><\/p>\n Yellowstone <\/span><\/i>premiered in June 2018 via the Paramount network. In February 2022, it was announced that the show had been renewed for a fifth and final season.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe never know what\u2019s next, you know?\u201d Luke, who plays Kayce Dutton, told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/i><\/a> in March 2022.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re sorta on the ride with everybody else. How\u2019s that?\u201d Kevin, joked to\u00a0ET<\/i> about what\u2019s to come in season 5, noting that spoilers \u201ctake the fun away.\u201d<\/p>\n The veteran actor added, \u201cIt\u2019s one of the more fun things in life to know that it\u2019s a journey and you don\u2019t always know everything that\u2019s going with it.\u201d<\/p>\n Variety<\/em><\/a> confirmed in an April 2022 profile with creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong> that season 5 will pick up with John Dutton running for governor.<\/p>\n Yellowstone<\/em> season 5 premiered on November 13, 2022, with a two-hour premiere. Hassie Harrison<\/strong> (Laramie) confirmed at the time that \u201cthe new season will be split in two parts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The fifth season\u2019s first teaser<\/a>, which was unveiled in August 2022, promised that the Dutton family will \u201cshow the world who we are and what we do.\u201d The longer trailer<\/a>, which dropped on September 29, 2022, promised that \u201cpower has a price\u201d as John is officially sworn in as governor of Montana.<\/p>\n The first eight episodes of season 5 aired from November 2022 to January 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Paramount announced on November 2 that the second half of season 5 will premiere in November 2024, two years after the season began.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWithin five years, we grew Yellowstone<\/em> from a hit U.S. cable show with five million viewers into a global hit franchise with over 100 million fans around the world and multiple extensions \u2013 and, we\u2019re just getting started,\u201d Chris McCarthy<\/strong>, President and CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, said. \u201cOn the heels of 1883<\/em> and 1923<\/em>\u2019s success, our new planned spinoffs, 1944<\/em> and 2024<\/em>, will take audiences on a thrilling, new and unexpected journey with the complex and compelling storytelling that has become a hallmark of the franchise and has helped turn it into a worldwide cultural phenomenon \u2013 thanks to the creative mastermind of Taylor Sheridan.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Fans don\u2019t want to think of the series coming to an end, but creator Taylor told The New York Times<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>in December 2021 that he has an idea for how everything will play out. \u201cIt will go as many years as it takes for me to tell the story, but you\u2019re not going to see nine seasons of it,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n As for Kevin\u2019s take on the ending?
