\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Quiz Lady<\/em> director Jessica Yu<\/strong> is opening up about Paul Reubens<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 cameo in the film, which marks the late actor\u2019s final film role. <\/p>\n Paul<\/strong> died in July<\/a> after a long and private battle with cancer. He was 70.<\/p>\n The actor best known for his role as Pee-Wee Herman appeared briefly in Quiz Lady<\/em>, which released on Friday (November 3). The comedy stars Awkwafina<\/strong><\/a>, Sandra Oh<\/strong><\/a>, and Will Ferrell<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The scene in question involves Paul<\/strong> driving up in a golf cart outside of the game show\u2019s soundstage to surprise a superfan.<\/p>\n In a recent interview with EW<\/a><\/em>, Jessica<\/strong> addressed Paul<\/strong>\u2018s cameo as himself and the film\u2019s subtle nod to Pee-Wee Herman.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were really excited that he was going to come and play with us,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was on our first day of shooting that we had him. I felt like it was such a good omen because the moment everybody knew that Pee-wee was on set, everyone\u2019s spirits lifted. He meant so much to people, and he was just so delightful. Bringing this moment of magic to the film is such a lovely memory, but is now quite bittersweet.
