Matthew Perry<\/a> was laid to rest at a private funeral on Friday, November, 3, according to multiple outlets. The service was reportedly held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles\u2019 Hollywood Hills neighborhood, near the Warner Bros. Studios lot where Friends<\/em><\/a> was filmed.<\/p>\n

Perry\u2019s former castmates Jennifer Aniston<\/a>, Lisa Kudrow<\/a>, Courteney Cox<\/a>, Matt LeBlanc<\/a><\/strong> and David Schwimmer<\/strong><\/a> were reportedly in attendance, per TMZ<\/a>, along with Perry\u2019s mother,\u00a0<\/b>Suzanne Morrison<\/strong>, his father,\u00a0John Bennett Perry<\/strong>, and his stepfather, Keith Morrison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The funeral comes nearly one week after Matthew\u2019s sudden death at the age of 54<\/a> on Saturday, October 28. The actor was found \u201cunconscious in a stand-alone jacuzzi\u201d by law enforcement officials in his Pacific Palisades home, with a statement from the Los Angeles Fire Department on Monday, October 30, confirming that he had been \u201cdeceased prior to the first responder arrival.\u201d His official cause of death has yet to be confirmed<\/a> pending a toxicology report.<\/p>\n

Police responded to a call of someone in cardiac arrest at a Los Angeles home, where they reportedly found the actor unconscious in a jacuzzi. It was announced earlier on Friday that Matthew\u2019s legacy will live on through the Matthew Perry Foundation<\/a>, which will help those \u201cstruggling with the disease of addiction.\u201d The charity is already up and running and is accepting donations, and will be \u201cguided by his own words and experiences and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thoughout his life, Matthew didn\u2019t shy away from discussing his own addiction issues, which he detailed in his 2022 memoir, Friends Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing<\/em><\/a>. However, Matthew \u2014 who portrayed the witty Chandler Bing on Friends<\/em> for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 \u2014 was vocal about wanting to be remembered for more than his role<\/a> on the hit sitcom.<\/p>\n
