Mauricio Umansky<\/strong><\/a> opened up about his journey on Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> after he was sent home on Tuesday, October 31, and revealed that he was \u201cgoing through a lot\u201d in his personal life. Thankfully, he had partner Emma Slater<\/strong><\/a> to help him find the courage to keep dancing before their week 6 exit.<\/p>\n \u201cEmma has been a great friend, a great coach, a great confidant, and emotionally, it\u2019s just been a great journey as well. So, on every aspect, it\u2019s been solid,\u201d Mauricio, 53, told People<\/em><\/a> at the live show. \u201cKyle [Richards]<\/strong><\/a> has been supportive. Despite the fact that she hasn\u2019t been here, she\u2019s had her own stuff going on and what have you, but everybody\u2019s been super supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n Beyond the hardships, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em><\/a> husband left the show with a \u201ctremendous\u201d weight loss transformation.<\/p>\n \u201cSince I started this journey, I had just gotten back from Italy, so I was eating a lot of pasta, [and] I was drinking a lot of wine,\u201d he shared with the outlet. \u201cI\u2019ve been on a great diet; I\u2019ve lost 20 pounds in six weeks. I\u2019m [in] as good physical shape as I\u2019ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n Mauricio joined the DWTS<\/em><\/a> cast in the midst of public marriage woes with his estranged wife, Kyle, 54. Reports claimed that the pair split after 27 years of marriage<\/a> on July 3, but the \u200bduo quickly shot down the chatter.<\/p>\n \u201cIn regards to the news that came out about us today \u2026 Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue<\/a>. However, yes, we have had a rough year,\u201d Kyle and Mauricio wrote in a joint statement the following day. \u201cThe most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.\u201d<\/p>\n That being said, the Buying Beverly Hills<\/em> star cleared the air and admitted that he and Kyle were in fact \u201cseparated\u201d on September 29.<\/p>\n \u201cKyle and I are human beings, OK? We have emotions, we have feelings, we\u2019re going through a really hard time, OK?\u201d he said in a TMZ<\/em> video. \u201cWe are currently separated; we are not talking about divorce and we\u2019re trying to deal with this stuff internally with ourselves privately.\u201d<\/p>\n While his marriage was seemingly holding by on a thread, fans noticed Mauricio and DWTS<\/em> partner Emma, \u200b34, were getting cozy outside of their sexy performances.<\/p>\n On October 22, Mauricio and Emma were seen holding hands after going to dinner together. Fans were shocked that a possible showmance was brewing, but the two debunked the chatter and claimed they \u201care really good friends.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201c[We] went to a restaurant to go get some sushi right after rehearsal,\u201d Mauricio said in a video via Instagram Stories on October 26 alongside the professional dancer. \u201cWe\u2019ve been dancing together now for six weeks, four hours a day, every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n The day prior, Kyle admitted it was \u201cvery hard to see\u201d the PDA photos of her estranged husband and another woman and also deleted recent posts of Mauricio<\/a> off of her Instagram account.<\/p>\n \u201cvery hard to see. I just don\u2019t think you hold hands like that [if you\u2019re friends],\u201d she told Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live<\/em>. \u201cI don\u2019t know if anything has happened yet, but obviously, there is something there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
