The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/em><\/a> star Gizelle Bryant<\/strong><\/a> weighed in on the affair rumors surrounding Candiace Dillard Bassett<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s husband, Chris Bassett<\/strong> \u2014 and she thinks there could be something to the chatter.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like it\u2019s unfortunate, but I tried to tell Candiace about her husband last season,\u201d Gizelle, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> ahead of RHOP<\/em>\u2019s season 8 premiere. \u201cAnd she didn\u2019t want to listen, so maybe she should have listened.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this month, a woman came forward to claim that she is Chris\u2019 mistress. The woman alleged that she recently had an abortion at the behest of Chris, 45. (Chris and Candiace, 36, have been married since 2018<\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cI felt like her story was very believable,\u201d Gizelle told Us<\/em>, adding that she hasn\u2019t spoken to Candiace since the alleged affair made headlines. \u201cIt\u2019s actually none of my business, and I really don\u2019t even care. But it\u2019s unfortunate.\u201d<\/p>\n Neither Chris nor Candiace have publicly responded to the woman\u2019s claims, but Candiace accused her costars \u2014 namely Gizelle and Robyn Dixon<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 of being responsible for the speculation.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you would just shut the f\u2013k up and worry about your boyfriends for hire and cheating husbands, you wouldn\u2019t have to post \u2018proof\u2019 that you weren\u2019t behind yet another plot against someone\u2019s family,\u201d Candiace tweeted earlier this month. \u201cOnce again, the people of God are tired.\u201d<\/p>\n Gizelle, meanwhile, told Us<\/em> that she doesn\u2019t understand where Candiace got the idea that she\u2019s responsible for the rumors about Chris. \u201cIt was so strange to me,\u201d Gizelle said. \u201cBut deflection is real.\u201d<\/p>\n Chris\u2019 fidelity previously came into question during season 7 of RHOP<\/em>, which wrapped up in March. Gizelle claimed that she had dirt on Chris, but he was ultimately vindicated.<\/p>\n Since then, Gizelle and Candiace haven\u2019t had much contact<\/a>, even while filming RHOP<\/em> season 8<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t see her much this season and that was great for me,\u201d Gizelle told Us<\/em>. \u201cIt was awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n Gizelle went on note that she wasn\u2019t trying hard to \u201cavoid\u201d her castmate \u2014 it just happened naturally. \u201cThere were things that came up that I wasn\u2019t going to invite her to and vice versa,\u201d she explained. \u201cSo, yeah, I didn\u2019t need to see her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>
