The newsroom drama is only just beginning. The Morning Show<\/em><\/a> season 2 wrapped up in November 2021, but fans area already thirsty for more of the Apple TV+ drama \u2014 and they aren\u2019t the only ones.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw Jen Aniston<\/strong><\/a> last night,\u201d Reese Witherspoon<\/strong><\/a> told Extra<\/em><\/a> in December 2021. \u201cWe were talking about [The Morning Show<\/em> season 3]. We\u2019re so excited and we just love working together. It\u2019s just a dream come true. We have known each other for a long time, but to be able to collaborate in a big way and really be architects behind the scenes is really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, the Legally Blonde<\/em><\/a> actress thought it might be a while before the cast reunited for season 3.<\/p>\n \u201c[Jennifer]\u2019s finishing a movie<\/a> with Adam Sandler<\/strong><\/a> so it\u2019s gonna be a minute and then we are gonna get right on it. \u2026 Give the people what they want,\u201d she said. Witherspoon and Aniston play Bradley Jackson and Alex Levy, respectively, the news anchors at the center of the popular drama.<\/p>\n Aniston, for her part, told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> in November 2021 that she wasn\u2019t sure about playing Alex again. In season 2, her character struggled with returning to the public eye while mourning Mitch (played by Steve Carell<\/strong><\/a>) and contracting COVID-19.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so hard to even imagine it right now,\u201d the Friends<\/em><\/a> alum told the outlet at the time.\u00a0 <\/i>\u201cYou know when they say mothers almost have a block [after giving birth]: \u2018I could never do that again!\u2019 I\u2019m a little bit in that moment of, \u2018I don\u2019t know if I could ever do that again!\u2019 So, we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n The Emmy winner also expressed her hopes that the tone of her story shifts in subsequent seasons, saying she\u2019d like to see \u201ca lot more levity\u201d in the next installment.<\/p>\n Showrunner Kerry Ehrin<\/strong>, for her part, told The Hollywood Reporter <\/em>that the possibilities for\u00a0The Morning Show <\/em>are really endless.<\/p>\n \u201cYou could [go 10 years forward]. You could go backwards. It\u2019s such an interesting little universe,\u201d she said in November 2021. \u201cYou really can put it anywhere in time, and I think the challenge of the show is coming up with that big subject. Because, those are real subjects. They\u2019re not fabricated. They\u2019re pulled from all of our lives and they greatly impacted all of us, and I think that\u2019s always the challenge of the show<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Although a release date has yet to be announced, a third season of The Morning Show<\/em> has been confirmed.<\/p>\n
