Hometown dates hold a lot of weight for Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last time I met [the] family of someone that I was about to fall in love with was in 1968,\u201d Gerry, 72, shares in a confessional in Us Weekly<\/em>\u2019s exclusive sneak peek at The Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Thursday, November 2, episode. \u201cI\u2019m really excited about it because family is very important to me<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bachelor Nation<\/a> fans have seen several hometowns over the years on The Bachelor<\/em><\/a> and The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>, Gerry teased that his dates will \u201clook a lot different from someone who\u2019s in their 20s and 30s\u201d as he will \u201cbe meeting the children instead of meeting the parents.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the clip shows footage of Gerry arriving at an airport and boarding a flight to his first hometown, he notes in a confessional that the week will be a \u201ccritical\u201d one in his journey to find new love.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have three women left. I have Faith, I have Leslie<\/a> and I have Theresa<\/a> \u2014 and they all have said that they\u2019re falling in love with me,\u201d he continues. \u201cBut it\u2019s been so long since I first felt those feelings with my wife, so I\u2019m in uncharted waters here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although his feelings for his final three women \u201care strong,\u201d Gerry clarifies, \u201cI only want to say \u2018I love you\u2019 to one more person in my lifetime. So, I hope I\u2019m able to sort my feelings out and do the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unlike other Bachelor Nation hometown dates, Gerry will only visit three contestants instead of his final four. He handed out hometown roses to Faith Martin<\/strong>, Leslie Fhima<\/strong> and Theresa Nist<\/strong> during the show\u2019s fifth episode on October 26 episode, eliminating contestants Ellen Goltzer<\/strong><\/a>, Sandra Mason<\/strong><\/a> and Susan Noles<\/strong><\/a> as a result.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that I have the responsibility right now of holding your hearts in my hands,\u201d Gerry told the group during episode 5 rose ceremony. \u201cAnd I consider this one of the most important steps I could possibly take.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ellen\u2019s elimination, in particular, came as a shock to both herself and fans alike as she was the first contestant to tell Gerry she was falling in love with him. \u201cSaying goodbye to Gerry was not an easy thing to do,\u201d she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram<\/a> post after the episode. \u201cI was falling in love, and I hadn\u2019t felt those kinds of feelings for a guy in years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ellen went on to praise her experience on the show, stating that she has \u201ca new lease on love.\u201d She continued: \u201cI am so thankful to everyone at @goldenbachabc!!! I have a new lease on love, I know I can fall in love again, and like my best friend Roberta said \u2014 never say never!!! I\u2019m so ready to find my forever person, I wasn\u2019t ready for so long, but I\u2019m so ready now! \ud83d\udc9b\ud83c\udf39.\u201d<\/p>\n
